Chasing a few plays today.

West Virginia Derby Race 8 at Mountaineer

No. 6 Delightful Kiss WPS with No. 9 Zanjero. I've been chasing Zanjero all spring but he figures to be favored here so I'm taking the deep closer Delightful Kiss, who has won 2 straight from well off the pace.

Saratoga Race 6;
No. 6 Solvent WPS with No. 4 Striking Rizzi and No. 8 Strikeuptheblues.

Saratoga Race 9 (Test Stakes):
No. 6 Debbie Got Even WPS with No. 5 Down and No. 9 Sheets. Deep closers have not fared well at Saratoga this year, so this might be a donation, but the Zito trainee should be closing into a blistering pace and figures to be 15-1 or higher.

Personally there is never any value in betting a heavy fave. Too many times I have seen a dominant horse wipe everyone out only to have something go horribly wrong in the finals. Remember the virgin horse a few weeks ago that broke? That being said I have decided to go with #10 Flirtin Man. If anyone can come up big when it counts it would be the legend John Campbell.

Watch the show boards today. The huge betters will be out in force and you could easily see some 100k show bets come in on the heavy faves. If this happens I usually take 3-4 horses and slip an extra 20-50 show bets on them just in case.

u suck weep weep. I had Poker Dice in the 1st and Pacific Playboy in the 2nd. Do they have a 2nd place DD? sigh. Because I love to chase I am going with Perfect Waverly in the 3rd. I would really love Srixon if he was not in the 9 hole and that sucky driver Stalbaum was not on him. Btw, everyone is going nuts on Tetrick so I would like to get this out. He has always sucked, still sucks, and will continue to suck his entire life. Everyone is acting like he is the next Campbell or Sears but I think not. Also, I would like to point out the decline of Cat Manzi. Last year he was hot. Now he is one of the worst drivers there. He drives like a pussy and does not try anymore.

What are u gonna do with Erie Duncan N? If he stays flat he probably wins and is 9/2 now. He breaks every other race and wins every other race which means his pattern states win. I had total truth last week in this race over with anticipation so that was a good race for me. 2 horses are coming off a scratch sick and 2 off a break. tough race

I had Maltese Artist as a $100 show bet. Had a good feeling about him. He came up big during the last couple stakes races, so that's why I took him.

Nah, only took a show bet on him. I questioned whether or not he could win. The show paid $6.60, so my $100 turns into $330, I can live with that.
