Thanks JB. I wagered on a horse (Interlock Empire) Saturday in the 8th. He was in the 12 hole so he was dismissed going off at 17-1. He circled the field on the 2nd turn and turned it on. I am going to keep an eye on him. If you get a minute go look at the replay. I think he had some fast fractions to run into but still he was running to the wire.

Regarding the contest I may not wager my total as I find it hard to find enough races to wager on. I am hoping to beat the vig along with EZ.

Give me a race JBEX and a form and I will find a play I like most times. LOL. . The good thing about this type of contest is you can play small stakes. And that is what I tried to do when I did not feel too strongly on a play. And by your own standards you need volume to see where you really stand in the game. The more volume the less luck is involved IMO. Everyone has about 3 months to complete the roll. All on target to finish except Pigpen who had some real life issues arise and seems to be pretty particular on his plays. No worries there as we all have our own Methods.

One more note I probably should have included a Payout CAP as well to make it a true grind it out Affair. One heavy ex or a $30 max play on a 30 to 40/1 shot can really skew the results. All Contest play that I am aware of has a cap in place. If we run a game again I will utilize some sort of Cap.

I'm just going by what he said..maybe it won't be tough but he'll have to play more than he usually would ..you can always loosen your criteria to get more plays..up to the individual

generally speaking I've become more low volume over the years with some exceptions along the way..like putting more time into less races..by doing the contest with b o a it restricts me even more but I do jump in on other races once in a while ..works for me but everyone has to find their own comfort zone

it's working for you do stay with it..I think if you do my thing (last race) you really need to at minimum limit other plays or your defeating the purpose..you're always welcome to join if I do another regardless of how many other plays you make..if you want hop aboard now..just having some fun vs a serious competition

yes..I don't want to look at every race and generally speaking I find last races are good betting races..bigger fields,meat and potatoes (so to speak) races ..clm n2l or 3l ,mcl ..sometimes a msw ..like these types of races
