Hey BOA12, I live about 2 hours from Oaklawn. I don't know where you live but if you ever get a chance to get to Hot Springs during the live meet I think you would enjoy it. The town is totally geared to the racing. Unless you have made the pilgrimage I highly recommend it. Give me a heads up and I would be happy to share a table or mingle out on the apron. Was there once, the famous M C Hammer odd killing win story. Maniac bet $60,000 to win last minute killed OUR Payout from $580 to $380 on my $200 Win bet. Last $200 win bet I ever made. JBEX may remember the particulars better then me on this one. Ultimate destination was Fair Grounds, but got "trapped" in Little Rock due to floods. I plan another pilgrimage under the guise to visit my sister in Fayetteville along the way. When does OP open/close if you know Ppen?

Look at the quality of horses running and the field size. They will conduct a Friday-Sunday race week. They actually added some stake races this season. Oaklawn will run from December thru May. Last day is Kentucky Derby day. Get your ars down here!!!!
