Looks like Shug is making some changes but going to the Derby.

kona right and me wrong..I do think my slant on this was not good..from a trainer's perspective you're not going to pull the horse out over a mediocre effort..but I do feel running like that in a major derby prep is a very bad thing..cappers view and trainers are two different things though..I really don't like him now but glad they are giving it a go with the future position

if Shug puts blinkers on its a very bad sign and Ill toss for sure. I think Shugs analysis was spot on. In Derby you want to drop him back and steer him wide seems to like that like an Orb type trip if he's good enough

yes apparently that's the type of trip he needs.. kind of radical making you're first start with blinkers in the derby ..seems you would want to get acclimated with that in a less competitive spot but wtf do I know lol


side note ..winner ran a 94 beyer and gh finished 6 lengths
behind..this would equate to about an 84 beyer..winning figure is about 2 lengths slower than par..can't even fathom a horse winning the derby with that low a figure in his previous race..don't care about the less than perfect trip..I think this year is ripe for a longshot
