Big turf racing today at Belmont.

Race 7: The Belmont Oaks Invitational 1 1/4

Gonna try to beat the Euro's with the 6- New Year's Eve (ML 6-1); was very impressed with how she won the last start. A little time off, with a bullet workout. Just by looking at the ML, to me, linemaker is not too impressed with the euros either.

Race 9- The Belmont Derby Invitational 1 1/2
Again, gonna try to beat the Euros again. Gonna play the 3- Napoleonic War (ML 10-1); he is out of War Front, damn is out Street Cry, turf and distance should not be a problem. Lightly race and has improved with each race on the Beyer. Has tactical speed and at ML 10-1 trained by Chad, why not? Only thing is I can't stand Prat.....

a mendelssohn just won dmr R1.. odds-on I believe but don't have it right in front of me.. think I may have mentioned that mendelssohn is a half to into mischief who is the most expensive stallion in north america.. something interesting on the paternal half also as both Into mischief and mendelssohn are both by grandsons of storm cat who is one of the all time great sire's.. mendelssohn (scat daddy) and into mischief (harlan's holiday).. scat daddy the better of the two but hh was a decent sire also.. agree with you and think mendelssohn could be a good one and now is the time to take advantage of that

He was the second favorite; went off at 3-1 and the beat the odds on favorite easily. Won impressively, sprinting away in the stretch!! Easy exacta bet for me. Definitely taking advantage of Mendelssohn early; on grass and dirt.

Scat Daddy was one of my favorite sires; especially 1 Mile turf. If I remember correctly, Mendelssohn was actually kinda disappointing , hopefully his offsprings can make it up for him. Will definitely keep an eye out but so far I like what I see.

somehow I don't think we'd sway the folks enough to affect the mutuels lol ..probably easiest way to do it would be at the major circuits ..looking at them all becomes impractical over time although half of those 8 weren't at major circuits (del pha lrl and elp)


if you're good with it I'll start it..between the both of us we should catch most of the one's running on the major circuits

What a wide open race; going with 10- Skyro; want to get a price horse; he is stepping up in class but he is in good form and have tactical speed. A little light on the Beyer but he should sit right behind the front runners and get first shot. Hopefully he can hold off the closers 6- and 9-. I think the 12- In Live is not the same horse as last year so gonna fade him.

Gonna take a shot against the ML fav (2- Balnikhov ML 9-5) and 2nd choice (9- Dicey Mo Chara ML 3-1); looking at numbers and pace scenario, I don’t think they are worth their odds. I think the 1- Tarantino has a good chance to upset. I think he is getting back to better form now and ML 12-1 is with a shot. And if the can run to his old form, should win this.
