    monday
    rogers

didn't care for the early part of card..below is chalky so that's why few combinations

    late pick 4 (.50)..R7-10

    2/479/2/24 (.50)
    2/479/2/4 ($1)

    $6 total

sloppy just go lighter or pass

    fonner

    R1 #5 dixie cat (5-2)
    R2 #4 goodness cat (7-2)

    olesiak double.. both short

    R6 #8 three footer (7-2)

    R7 #4 doby (9-2)

the ml of a multitasking morning linesmaker

    R8 #3 rain ray (6-1)

not a horrible effort behind the (1,2) last out and probably had little chance behind the ridiculously slow pace.. 11 year old a decent router over the course of his career and see if he can improve off that

looks chalky today and usually turns out that it isn't lol.. we'll see

might be about a $40 payoff so if you get it on the $1 ticket not bad ..think it's a good idea to have some idea what you're shooting for with low odds horizontals

JBEX - A question I don't know if you can answer!

At what point is a horse favorite not even worth a bet... If a horse is only a 1/2---> is it even worth the risk? Seems like the risk vs reward plays a big factor but I see guys dumping big money for only a 10% profit on a horse that can lose... Maybe I am looking at it wrong.. Your input is appreciated...

low odds horses do me no good.. if I really think they're tough I will try to play an exacta with the 4th or 5th choice (3rd not good enough) providing I like them.. I would just try to beat them or use my exacta strategy.. just understand the reality that they (2-5 to 3-5's) are going to win about 60% of the time.. to me, for the small player, you can always take a shot against them.. if you play horizontals probably single or add 1 or 2 and that's based on your opinion of the favorite

Like you said; I tend to like betting against FAV's much of the time and playing the exacta's with the fav in place. I have fun at Remington doing that because the races are so radical... Can't do it for a long time as you can go through $ playing the dart game! lol

know it's easy to say after the fact but really dropped the ball with this one.. stayed away (1) because the trainer was 1/43 at the meet and a bad jockey.. but if you excuse last race (sloppy) and 4 back (the 11 post) then 2 and 3 back he's right with these.. also trainer is a regular 2nd and 3rd place finisher.. hate losing with carelessness and feel without stretching the truth that was the case here

yes true but it's a little easier when you look back on the one losing leg and say "no regrets didn't like him".. don't post these very frequently so don't have a lot of references to these types of losses.. I'm done with it.. off my chest, move on.. appreciate the good word seastriper!!
