going with an outside post in a route(which I preached is no good yesterday) but like many other things and the price will certainly be right.. dropping and stretching coming out of a very fast sprint race.. back numbers at remington park from last fall that are significantly better than this field.. funny they were run at exactly the same level but remington's a higher level track so likely better competition in those

This is a great piece on Jake. Guy doesn’t drink. Most jockeys at fonner are at the bar after the races. Jake is usually in the hotel room playing video games unless his wife wants to go out but he still doesn’t drink.

yeah I liked it..based on what I read not surprised he's not at the bar after the races..just amazing working the night shift and then driving 2 hours to ride there..wife and 3 kids and she owns a business and also involved with the horses as a breeder and one other thing that I just can't recall off the top of my head..the purses for an entire card just slightly north of $40k so can see that not being enough to pay the bills

She’s had a couple nicer Minnesota breds as a breeder and owner. She hasn’t ran much in Nebraska recently to my knowledge. I might have to check that out. Her brother in law Jason Wise would be the trainer. That’s also a key thing to pay attention - that being, if Jake is on another horse and Jason Wise has a horse in the race. That other horse is usually going to be pretty live.

I wish we rode Jake more often but we’re used tied in with Armando Martinez and Dakota Wood. I’ve got a couple they should be entered tomorrow and I’m curious if we’ll ride Dakota back as I heard one of our trainers “fired him” last week. He did take him off a horse Wednesday that ended up winning with Arrieta. (This guy is by far the best jock on the grounds now).

I assume you are talking about Diesels prize. I really like Dazzle Man in that race. Was full of run and got in trouble. Really wish Luark wasn’t up as I caught my Luark winner of the year yesterday on I’m Lucky.

cool..yeah another way too conservative morning line for #1..think he'll be odds on or close which will make ours even higher ..an exacta wouldn't be bad if he wasn't quite up to it

yeah nice day.. can honestly say in over 4 decades of playing this game I doubt I've ever done anything like this right out of the gate, no pun intended.. even in R5 the horse ran a solid 3rd @ 25-1

I don't want to say something afterwards (about best bets) other than generally speaking I feel comfortable with these tracks.. even though overall, as I said, the results (off the top not tracking) haven't been great

yea... I show Fackler is riding and he's been on board many times and may put him in play early here ....Last out was Luark was on so its a good bump jockey wise.

Arrieta is solid hes Arizona Turf Paradise...Watch for him when the AZ trainers have runners esp

Arrieta came in last week to ride a stakes race and decided to stay for the rest of the meet. He typically rides Arizona and Minnesota
