Hope you all don't mind, but I've decided to post who I think is going win and then also post a longshot (10/1 or higher) who I think could pull off an upset victory. ML odds are in parenthesees. Enjoy!

        Sprint

Winner: Lost In The Fog (Even)
        Longshot: Lion Tamer (12/1)

        Distaff

        Winner: Sweet Symphony (8/1)

        Mile

        Winner: Singletary (8/1)
        Longshot: Host (12/1)

        Turf

        Winner: Shakespeare (3/1)
        Longshot: English Channel (10/1)

        Classic

        Winner: Borrego (9/2)
        Longshot: Flower Alley (10/1)

Ashado blows this field out in the Distaff. 4 length win for Ashado.Classic should be the spot to take Flower Alley to Win,as this horses workout on Tuesday was 2nd fastest of field.

The Breeder's Cup isn't very kind to chalk applepicks ... It's always a good strategy on this day to look for someone to beat the favorite ... Ashado is one that is easy to toss out ... The only one I can't make a case against is Lost In The Fog ... Exacta hunting there ... Good luck ... Should be a great day.

Look up those practice times and Ashado has the field by over 2 seconds. This combined with a undefeated record heading into retirement has me all over this great horse. I'm not that big on chalk usually but with a horse this strong I'll put my dime on it.apple

Practice times? ... Do you mean workouts? ... At best those workout times are very ordinary ... I wouldn't put much stock in workout times unless they are extremely quick ... Undefeated record? ... I must be missing something here ... She is 12 for 20 lifetime which is a very good record but not much better than most in this race ... I think the 6,7, and 12 beat her today.

I would agree with this completely. Recent workouts mean very little as the horses aren't pushed as hard as they will be in the race. Recent races, on the other hand, are a different story all together.

Two lukewarm favorites won, paying 6.70 and 6.80 ... Everything else was double digits ... Breeder's Cup is about beating the chalk ... That simple ... Lost In The Fog was 10 for 10 going into his race and went off a huge favorite (3/5) ... Grabbed the lead in the stretch and then hit a wall and finished off the board.

Nope. It was a very weird day for me @ Belmont today. It seemed like the winner was either a major longshot or chalk. Not my best day in The Sports Of Kings, but you can't win them all.
