out of a stakes winning "lord at war" mare ..don't hear that name much anymore and he was a top flight turf stallion in his day..besides being a stakes winner dam has produced 7 winners from 10 starters 4 of which won on the turf..sire above average turf also..form speaks for itself..trainer good at everything and only time jose ortiz rode for him past 60 days was the win aboard this guy

all the things I like In a 2yo firster.. sprint pedigree top and bottom.. dam was a winner whose produced 2 winners from as many starters.. but the dpi was very low so neither was anything special.. $135K (two months ago at auction) a lot to pay for a horse by a $10k stallion with that production on the bottom which to me means he must be physically very impressive.. servis/ortiz a blessing and a curse with the latter being because they are becoming to obvious ..at least pletcher around to absorb some money with a firster of his own #9

12 post last out in her 2nd career start last out vs msw..drops to maiden claimers today which linda rice is terrific with in addition to 2nd start off a short layoff..john velazquez rides again and could see abetter effort vs much easier company

R5 #6 tiz a chance (6-1)

been up close to some blazing fast paces in allowance routes 2 and 3 back and close up a notch below last out vs claimers..now cuts back to a sprint vs same level claimers as last race..could be the right spot for him

R6 #9 bootlegger (10-1)

another who's been up close to a couple of you've gotta be f***king kidding me paces 1 and 4 back..has been routing in all his last 10 races and the cutback to 7f along with the drop to claimers could be a wakeup call..2nd time and 2nd off layoff for rudy rodriguez positive moves and junior alvarado 4/15 riding for him past 60 days

been a solid claim for rudy taken in his debut race.. off the turf 2 back in what would've been his initial try at it.. last out on it broke slow from the rail and ran dead even back of the pack all the way around.. could see a better effort today

good post, right level for 3rd career start.. i'm a little suspicious of the favorite #6 dropping down off what he's shown especially factoring in the pedigree.. linda rice is great with this move but hopefully it doesn't work for her here

did nothing in his debut going wide all the way around but that was as a 2yo in september ...homebred is by paynter out of a chester house mare which is nice bloodlines in an indiana bred race..dam has produced 2 winners from 3 starters and was a winner herself.... the new trainer is solid and very profitable off a long layoff (roi +89%)and is 8/32 with msw with a +200% roi !!. jockey is 4/9 with trainer last 60 days (+178% roi).. horse is also a first time gelding

9 starts 1-4-4 all on the dirt and tries turf for the first time which he's bred to like ..dam has 9 winners from as many starters including 6 turf winners. trainer nice numbers roi and win % in multiple categories

think his run prior vs allowance makes him tough here.. broke maiden vs claimers and now drops in to clm 20kn2l which is where he belongs.. jockey castillo 12/40 in sprint races
