just suggesting how I would play $12 into the race..too much luck ,good and bad, influences the results in the short term (100's of races) let alone a few dozen ..i'll mention hits but nothing cumulative..

OK. You seem a bit scared to track your long term results. Wonder why? I know you said you do not want to put the time in, but here is a limited thread where it would not be too cumbersome. C'mon JBEX. Let the board see how you perform.

100 races and one of them a 4-1 beats the 2-1 favorite.. my 20-1 key horse for 3rd in the triple has a really bad trip and misses 3rd by a length..now what should have been a +250 comes back a -12..and besides that on the other 99 races overall my luck wasn't the best..is that figure reflective of my performance..no..could work the other way in my favor also..are people going to draw conclusions about my performance and not factor that in ..yes..I don't want that..i'm just trying to highlight a category that i think i "may" have an edge with over time..nothing to prove here

I will drop it here. But if you think you "may" have an edge over time with maidens, why not try and prove it? Again GL. And Luck is a part of the game. The good players get more good luck than bad.

You might want to consider Delaware Park and Monmouth Park.

Delaware because of its close proximity to Fair Hill and Sagamore ( never thought I would say that again)which stables babies from very solid connections and Monmouth because of its close proximity to NY. We know that Todd used that avenue last year.

They both have that history of greatness with young horses as well.

Just a thought.

i'm surprised I didn't think of monmouth on my own and msw at delaware can also have some decent horses for reasons you mentioned..gonna include them as tracks I can use..thanks

because I can vary the amounts in the exotics I want to establish a base amount..not total bet (always 12) but if I combine exactas and triples..a win bet with exacta covers vs just 6WP..doesn't hurt to use it

i will not do exactas or triples with my key horse on top.. I will also not do triples with my key horse in 2nd..on occasion if i have an equal opinion on 2 horses may do an exacta box or bet 6W on each ** if I don't think a horse can win but finish 2nd it will always be an exacta bet vs a lone place bet..


**exacta boxes will be for $3

example you like two 5-1's..6W on each and if you are right
you get back $36..if you're right about the exacta you get back around $140 for the $6.. you're giving too much back when you miss (which you will for the most part) for the times you hit one of the two win bets
