For the sake of competition, maybe we don't need to see a triple winner.

There would be many if they ran at 4 years old.

With the cost of yearlings so high the owners have to treat them like fragile china with kid gloves and they barely race as 2 year olds. When they start their 3 year old campaigns they are still green. It's pretty tough to expect a horse that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground to put 3 great races together. It was surprising for a cheaper horse the form that Mine That Bird held onto. He's a low brau horse in the scheme of things but an honest one.He had the gas in all 3 races but he got questionable tacticle rides in his last 2 tripple crown races. With a little luck,he could have won the tripple crown.Best scenario to win the tripple crown is a mature for his age super star competing in a weak class of 3 year olds.It will happen.Curlin and Big Brown would of,could of and should of won maybe.

When I used to go the races in Nebraska and Winnipeg alot when I was in my teens to 30's you would see these beautiful looking unraced 2 year olds running for 2k claiming prices.OK,I'm no vet but you would think that out of nowhere some great looking half ass bred green 2 year old would have had a bad trainer and jockey where it could come out of nowhere and be a Kentucky Derby winner with the right attention. It never happens because the genetic bloodline formula isn't there. You can just look at a horse no matter what age and tell if they are well bred or not.In the horse world people can tell the truth and say that a horse looks like a cheap claiming nag.In life you can't call someone dog patch hoodlum homies because they look ill bred with cross eyes where they have brain stem mentalities.hehe!Watch the 2 horse racing channels on satellite and hear how snobbie the hosts are about a horse's lineage and class. It's like becoming president where you either were born with a lineage into privilege or you had government connections with radicals etc. They say Bill Clinton who grew up piss poor was really fathered by Winthrop Rockefeller an ex governor of Arkansas who's mother worked for him.Obama has thick ties to influence too.Nothing happens by accident where nobody horses win a tripple crown or people become president if the right circumstances aren't set on the table for them..It's all pre planned.

I'd say in 2013...40 years after Secretariat. I can hear the headlines now...
