Belmont ticket help

Hey I'm new to horse betting, and was looking for some help with my ticket I made on the Belmont Stakes today. My ticket says as follow:

Belmont
R11 $2 Pick 3 4+7+9
1 Bet $2

Now the 4 horse won the Belmont Stakes race 11, so I'm trying to figure out what in the world is a pick 3 bet? What does this ticket mean, please help thanks.

It means the 7 has to win the 12th race and the 9 has to win the 13th for you to cash.
