Betting Mine that Bird at even money is absolutely nuts.

He will go off FAR HIGHER on race day and I don't expect him to run anywhere near as well in the Belmont as he did in the Kentucky Derby or Preakness.

Both the KY Derby and Preakness were run on off tracks after recent rains and his sire BirdStone is notorious for producing horses that excel on wet tracks.

If it happens to be raining on Belmont Stakes day, then he has a much better chance though I still wouldn't bet him anywhere near even money regardless of the track condition.

I'm doubtful of MTB for the simple fact of what will be accomplished should he win.

I hope he wins, though.

Dunkirk wins easy! If not for the bad trip he should of won the Derby. Word out of Florida is this horse has more talent than Big Brown!

i really loved summer bird, because of the distance. i did bet him pretty good too. I had a $100 win/show on him. best thing is that i had the headline for the race.
"The Wrong Bird Wins" refering to Summer Bird vs Mine that Bird. Being Canadian and seeing this horse Mind that Bird race so good really showed how weak this years 3 years crop is. Breeders Cup will be a disappointment for stars this year. The two biggest ones are Racheal and Zenyatta. both fillies and chances of them racing at the end of the year are slim. It they went head to head the race hype would be good but the race would be poor as they have different running styles. No head to head battle just maybe a tight photo is all.
