One play for sunday...
R4 #4 Simply Splendid 5/2
There appears to be very little pace pressure in this race, Simply Splendids past trips seem to indicate that she has the ability to either set the pace or sit just off another horse that goes for the lead. In this case the only other horse that may be willing to battle for the lead is the #7 who ran a horrific race last time out.
On April 18th she went 5.5 furlongs and finished a strong third. Took her a moment to find her best stride going down the stretch but once she did was absolutely flying, a little more track to work with and the win would have been all her's.
Tyler Pizzaro gets the mount for the third time, maiden victory and a third to show for his previous two trips on her. Also broke her maiden going the same distance as today (7 furlongs)
5 units to win
