BOOM! Don't bet against Talamo on the downhill!!!

Just missed the Trifecta, but a nice $73.20 return on the Ladder Bet!

With the scratches in the last race the Tri's didn't cost me as much as I thought before I put them in. Either way we are up about $40 on the first race. I will take it.

#11 INTOXICTIN MOVE - Has had great success on downhill course, last two speed figures close to average winner, outside post is actually inside post on downhill course, 8/1 ML is a gift

#14 / #8 - will both likely be near the front, if the pace holds which doens't happen often on this downhill they could be in it.

Went and grabbed some lunch, hit the DD to start the day. skipped the third race.

Race #4

#11 RING WEEKEND - obviously the class of the race and should be a heavy favorite, but I can't bet him in a 12 horse field at less than 2-1.

#2 TALCO - Ran well in his first shot since coming from overseas and keeps Nakatani on board. Ran well overseas on softer turf and will get a shot on some firmer ground here. He can absolutely FLY late and I would love to get the 5-1 that we are getting on him now. HBD turf pedigree rating of (+9) gives me more confidence that he will like the SA Turf as well.

#10 LONG ON VALUE - Stretching out for the first time to 1 1/8 having only gone 1 1/16 in the past. He should be ok at the distance and put up a huge race last time out at Canterbury. Another horse that could take to the Santa Anita track coming from the east coast. at 14-1 its worth a look here as well, and will likley be closer to the front at the turn than TALCO.

#12 YARD LINE - THe only horse that has really shown early speed on the turf. I don't think they will let him get out there especially from the outside, but its possible he can hang on to something from the lead.

Not a big fan of the favorite here in #2 MIDNIGHT HAWK, and I relaly don't like the 2nd choice #3 CHITU coming off long layoff.

#11 BAHAMIAN SQUALL - Big class rating here compared to field last time out, may be the best in this field and you are getting 10-1...really? Can't pass this horse up here at this price. Ran a huge Brisnet number in similar conditions last time out, the move to Bejarano may be helpful as well. Only ran once at Santa Anita, but has done well at Gulfstream Parks similar hard surface.

#9 BROADWAY EMPIRE - Another horse that I am estatic to be seeing 14-1 on, Drop in distance could push him back into sprint form where he has ran well at Turfway Park and Churchill downs a few back. He has the ability to win this and the price is just too nice to ignore.

if this race was on the turf, or the downhill I would agree. But I just don't trust Unbridled here in this situation. Wouldn't be surprised if they hit the board here though.

Race #6 JUV TURF

#5 HOOTENANNY - Will be the speed, simple as that. If they let her get away, she will win this easily. Not sure she will get that trip, but you can't ignore the nearly 90 point HBD Early Pace advantage here. And if I can get close to that 7-1 that she is at right now....please and thank you.

#11 IMPERIA - Last out win at Belmont was impressive. +2 HBD Turf pedigree rating. Can't ignore here.

#4 COMMEMORATIVE - Nice impressive win at Newmarket. Replay looked like she was better than the win on paper even shows. And the 6-1 is a nice price here as well.

#3 LUCK OF THE KITTEN - Likes Santa Anita, probably not the best here, but can win if the Europeans don't take to the course. +6 HBD Turf Pedigree Rating and prior win on this course will be nice. Another one I just cant toss.

Race #7

#1 GOLDENCENTS - Likely the best, duh. But less than even money in a BC event is insane! Obviously include but can't be bet at that price.

#9 TAPTURE - Needs help with the pace, and might get it from the inside. Tap could be looking at a perfect trip as the only horse on his outside is a very late running Big Bane Theory. Would love to get 5-1, but more likely will see closer to 4-1. Love him here though.

#8 FED BIZ - Last out was amazing 2nd place to some horse named SHARED BELIEF and showed amazing 'moxy' in that second place finish. Tough to throw out and will likely be close at the end.

#10 BIG BANE THEORY - I don't think this horse can win, but I think he can be there at the end.
