Been doing some back analysis on some stats that I keep and think
TAMPA BAY DOWNS - RACE 8 - SAT 21ST DEC
3 OFF THE STREET - got to be a massive bet for WIN AND PLACE
Watched the last race - 4th Dec 2013 which had My Tee Time behind it and think the jock went too fast once it got the lead.
From the start, horse or jockey missed the break and then I think the Jock used a bit too much to use the PP1 position on the inside and grab the lead and went too fast going around the home turn - clocked a 22.3 for the 1st quarter - too quick for me and used too much to keep some in reserve for a stretch duel and got collared at the finish.
Also, My Tee Time was in PP11 and had a wide draw and had to come all around the houses to get into a good position for a home stretch run and was closing in the end - after Off The Street petrol tank emptied out. So, maybe My Tee Time could be closer as it has PP5 at Tampa today.
But, Bennett/Perez combo are a good unit - going up 1 furlong to 7 furlongs - so for a 2nd run at Tampa - I think the pace will be slower and the jock can be more conservative with Off The Street's petrol tank and save a bit more for a long burst down the home stretch - so the horse is not fired up down the back stretch from PP3 - horse can keep tabs on the leaders - come 2 or 3 wide around the home turn and power up the stretch for a win - but DEFINITE PLACE for me.
So, just putting my neck on the block here - really feel this has a great chance.
