Was on the 9 over the 8/3 - so got the exacta in a roundabout way.
They took my money in the other races today though - so was down on the day ... break even over last two days .. but anytime I can entertain my wife for two days for free is a good week.

1. If I may ask, how often does your best track hit the bell?
2. When you say 'played my topchoice' you mean play the number you put in first in your prediction and play them Win and Place?
3. You play all the picks fully or Win / Place?

1. my best bet clicks probaly 2-1 more than other picks some weeks in very high percentage rate maybe 50-60 %
2. yes my top choice is the first horse listed and i usually play it win-place if the horse is getting 3-1 odds or more
Other heavy chalk players play the 8-5, 1-9, 2-5, and so on but when their horses hit, they might get like $2,60 win, $2,10 place i dont think many people want to risk their money for such a little return. you can get places doing it that way and loose money for the day. there are exceptions, some professinal handicappers might be betting those chalks with big money to win just to get a little back.
3.like i said above, ill play win and place if i get my odds or if thats all i do with the whole card just to see how i do percentage wise and to get my roi for those picks. i usually play with the exactas and pick 3's mostly where i might use a few horses in each race for example in pick 3's i might take my top two horses in 3 concecutive races for $1 bet which would cost $8
with my high percentage of horses hitting the board, i have a better chance of hitting these. either way, i just post the selections the way i see them, its really up to you to choose your own plays. everything is just a gamble so good luck to you on your decisions
