Opening day provides handicappers with full fields and wide open races. I'm sitting on the fence today looking to see how the track is playing. Most published reports I've read suggest the main {Pro-Ride surface} surface will be kinder to closers. The current Hollywood Park run on the cushion track was speed favoring.
In the fifth at Santa Anita Stand Tall is one I will be watching intently. A stone cold closer he will give clues as to the track bias {if any}.

all of these are to W/P/S for $12. Glad Pauper's Prize scratched because I was torn between those 2. First ever horse bet was a success!
