Dec 3 Backstrom, who left Friday's win in the first period with a lower body injury, will travel with Wild to California but won't play Sunday against Anaheim, according to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Recommendation: Matthew Hackett has been called up to back up Josh Harding in that one, while the good news seems to be that Backstrom's injury isn't too serious if he's headed out West with the team.
