What a crazy 1st round it's been especially in the East. Every single dog team is winning the series 3-2 The West has a lot of potential upsets still in the making as well.

Nice threw a unit down on the Hawks seconds before OT started Had a feeling Phoenix wasn't winning this series that easily.

THE STORY: In a series which has seen the offense take center stage, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury proved to be the star of the show on Friday. Fleury turned aside all 14 shots he faced in the third period as the Penguins trimmed their deficit to 3-2 in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with a 3-2 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers. The Keystone State representatives will reconvene in the City of Brotherly Love on Sunday for Game 6.
TV: Noon, TSN, NBC
ABOUT THE PENGUINS: Jordan Staal netted his sixth goal in three contests and Tyler Kennedy recorded the eventual game-winner midway through the second period during Friday's Game 5. Kennedy has scored in all three contests in the Steel City, but has yet to tally in Philadelphia. Sidney Crosby had a particularly difficult Game 5 as the captain was held off the scoresheet and was on the receiving end of some brutal hits - including an unintentional one by teammate Evgeni Malkin. The Penguins are looking to do what only three teams in NHL history have accomplished - win a series after trailing 3-0.
ABOUT THE FLYERS: With 11 goals on 19 opportunities in the series, Philadelphia's potent power play has been as good as advertised. Defenseman Matt Carle and Scott Hartnell continued the trend by scoring with the man advantage during the first period on Friday. The Flyers kept the pressure on during the third, but they couldn't solve Fleury despite registering eight shots on one power play. When the sides are level, Peter Laviolette's club hasn't mustered an even-strength goal in 139 minutes, 3 seconds.
OVERTIME: 1. Philadelphia's James van Riemsdyk returned after a 23-game absence with a broken foot. He logged 7:31 of ice time, registered one hit and didn't have a shot on goal in Game 5. 2. After yielding five goals on 18 shots to earn an early exit in Game 4, Ilya Bryzgalov turned in a solid performance on Friday. The Russian allowed three goals on 20 shots. 3. Only the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs, 1975 New York Islanders and 2010 Flyers have overcome a 3-0 deficit.
PREDICTION: Penguins 4, Penguins 3 (OT) <<<<<<<<

That's pretty much automatic but I don't want to lay that kind of juice ever. Might just have to tomorrow though.

I truly believe that the Flyers put the series away tomorrow. If this series goes to 7, the Flyers will shit their pants.

you dont think fleury is back and worst case a push on under 7 but to go under 7? Perhaps split even bet on both pitts and under?

Yeah tough call. If they don't get it done tomorrow then they may be in trouble in game 7 although history suggests it's still gonna be tough for the Pens to win 4 straight.

Lock it in at -213 at Pinnacle. Ouch. I just don't see how it'll go under in the first.

DG, you guys may be interested in this. Since I moved to England I mainly use UK books as they can be lazy to update on US lines etc. I'm not sure whether you can sign up with these, but the bookmaker 'Ladbrokes' is offering 3 or more goals in the 1st at +150. I remember you asked before the last game but I didn't get a chance to reply. Just thought I would let you guys know in case your interested. I'm on Pens ML tonight

got the o1.5 @ -200 and I am very seriously considering the OVER 7...Might pull the trigger some time into the 1st for an over of some sort depending on momentum.
Good luck all, this has been a great series so should hopefully be an entertaining game. Lets also hope its a profitable one

Good luck Dennis, I am on the over 1.5 for the 1st, managed to get it at -165 and also Pens TT over 3.5 at +105, think that is the best "side" play out there.

I took the first 10 minutes prop as I think it was a good bet that just got unlucky last time, and at half the juice at -150. Got my money back for the loser last time haha.
Good luck to the over 1.5 backers.

Trapitals usually choke when they need to win so I expect them to do just that today. Bruins should play desperate and grind out a greasy win.
