Hot Wings Hockey Playoff Picks 2011

Well finally the playoffs are here and I will start posting my hockey picks again through out the entire playoffs. I ended the regular season record in this thread http://forum.sbrforum.com/hockey-han...10-2011-a.html at YTD 316-339-12 +15.89x , which was extremely disappointing for me considering I was up over 50 units at one point. I will be using the same format as always which is a 1-5 unit scale with most plays being 1 to 3. I will keep track of all bets in this thread and look foward to enjoying some high intensity playoff hockey. Thanks man Yeah it was hard laying off, but with NBA going so well for me it made it easier. Not too optimistic about Wings this year. It seems like they lack motivation and defensive intensity this year. They have been horrible defensively all year, hopefully they can flip switch for playoffs ekse it may be very short lived. Damn I think your Nucks got a tough matchup in 1st round with Blackhawks. I am sure you guys would of much rather had Dallas as 1st round matchup. Hawks are dangerous team in playoffs because they typically play well on the road. GL to you in playoffs time to cash

I am not a huge fan of series bets because sometimes it can effect your game to game bets, if your not careful. Decided I would bet my favorite ones with value. I could see arguement for PHX as well but I can't bet that being a Wings fan.

2-3 +2.15x Thanks to taking gamble on the Over at 5.5 +140 vs O 5 at -130. Have to love 5 dimes with those alternative totals. Almost back to even. Playoffs are so hard to bet on till you get a little more into it. Games 4,5 is where you start to get a better feeling of how its going to go. Glad to see TB, NASH, MONT and BUF get at least 1 win in first 2 on road for my series plays. Puts home ice in there favor now. Look like Nucks are going to handle Blackhawks though. Blackhawks look like they don't have the desire this year. If Nuck can get consistent play out of Luongo they will be tough. Hopefully Wings can take game 2 tomorrow

Well took Wings -120 for 2x more but couldbt post since SBR was down. Currently 3-3 tie in 2nd

Wings coming through again They looked focused all series long and played really well. I know PHX isnt that good, but Wings looked determined and played disciplined hockey. Even when PHX tried to rough them up and take them out of there game with physical play they didnt falter. This is a common strategy against them and does work sometimes, but they just stayed focused on game and kept playing hard. If Howard can be average this team has a shot against anyone when they play like that. 3rd and 4th lines played really good as well with the likes of Helms, Eaves, Hudler, Abdelkader, Miller, Modano

Really want to take Hawks ML but just going to go with safer approach and take there TT 2.5. If Hawks win this game I think they definatley will have to score 3. Not as nice of odds as ML for game but think its safer play since I like the Over too. I could see a 4-3 Nucks OT win though and which case I still win.

Nice couple days for me 3-0 +7.45x last night 6-2 last 8 +11.45x. At least NHL playoffs are going good because I am getting absolutely crushed in NBA playoffs. My Hawks series bet might not be as dead as I thought. Wish I would of took that ML too Oh well still great night.
