agreed...Do u have any money on any of these? Which one is your strongest bet tonight that you would favour heavily im thinking boston in regulation is a safe bet, u?

I only post plays that I, myself, have put money on. Why should someone else invest in something that I say is worth risking on, but I am not willing to invest in?

The Boston and Devils picks are both pretty reasonable but for very different reasons.
Bruins:
-Superior team to Edmonton, offensively and defensively
-Lots of confidence from yesterdays win
-Rask, who has definitely found more success than Dubnyk, Khabibulin, Gerber..you name it
-Have a ridiculous record when leading heading into the third period

Devils:
-Everyone is aware of their impeccable streak
-"Revenge" towards Florida for two of the four losses since the new year
-Motivation after a hard fought battle with an equally talented Bolts team
-Florida is floundering, they are not in the same shape as they were in january and early february. I truly do believe they are the worst team in the NHL (Dubnyk for Vokoun?)

i am the same way, only post my picks if im HEAVY on them, hence i dont post 5-6 games a night, but concentrate on my BEST bets... I want to see if we favoring the same game later on(im thinking boston is the stronger of night games) BOL

only thing about the "revenge" factor with New Jersey is the fact in hockey, teams seem to dominate one team or another for one or other weird reasons, and "vengeance" seldomly play part in teams play...I still like Devils, but this game scares me more then edmonton vs. boston

hey man glad your picks hit. congrats! devils are looking good...so far. half a game still to play. i watched some interviews with the devils after their last loss to florida and there was complete frustration. devils think they deserved both those victories so i was hoping they would be sharp today and not take a poor panthers squad for granted.

i try to make all my plays at once because i never want to be guilty of chasing, which is far too easy to do when you start a day with a loss or two. can land you in a pile of trouble.

Well, wow lucky me. Hit all 5 today however I should probably thank the goal posts in both the Calgary and Anaheim wins as both Hejduk and Berglund hit two of the pipes in one shot. It takes that kind of luck to have this kind of day. Back with some plays tomorrow!

wow, im honoured to receive your first post bud! i went through all my usual steps in making these picks, so to answer your question; im not really sure. my computer did not recommend either of these picks and put LA higher in its recent rankings than detroit. statistics vs intuition you decide.

-minny is the same on the road as they are at home as is chicago. non-factor in my opinion.
-as an oiler fan ive been disappointed with penner these past few. he did not have the impact many expected him to have. i think, for his sake and the la kings, that he will shift gears and become a true second line power forward

Tonights games are so hard to cap, IMO. I'm leaning Minny as well only because Chi had to go to OT against PHO last night. A back to back blackhawks vs a rested minny. same record for both teams, gonna give edge to home, and the home dog. DET/ LAK is even harder to cap, i'm totally cluecless. DET +1.5 seems like a save bet, but the juice.....

you basically summed up my thoughts on the games too. momentum for chicago vs rest for wild. i think detroit will face a big test in the kings and i hope they come ready. if this game was in detroit i would have taken the kings with the wings atrocious home record as of late

I actually like the Under 5.5 for the Det/LA game!! I think it'll be a tight low scoring contest, i was even thinking of giving Det 1.5+ in a parlay, however late empty goals always ruin things when you go for the headstart if they are down especially if its a close contest

still havent decided on wings/la, almost compelled to take LA-1.5(pl)+230...Dunno, i live in detroit...Wings are my team, and i know them fairly well as well(been watching them the past 25 years) Kings ALWAYS frustrate wings, especially of late...Their style of play matches up really good against Detroit...Even if detroit wins, NO WAY are they going to be up by more then a goal....I think i sit this one out. Awesome work with picks last night Locke!! Looks like alot of people are hitting up Calgary, Phxm, Caps and SJ !! I think i might put them for a parlay im thinkin possible under aswell for the caps game. Im just tossing up which game to put the big money on!! Any suggestions? you are sure asking the tough questions there man! im not a one big bet kind of guy. unfortunately i got to your question a little late, so i'll take a look at the remaining games and give you a pick. honestly, i like all picks on the late games. there is not much "value" to be found on san jose and phoenix but if you win it does not matter. calgary has dropped significantly so depending which book you are with you might find a little juice there or not. i wish i could say which is the "one" play to go with but if i knew i would put all my eggs in that basket and forget about making 5 others. good luck with whatever choose/chose

i didnt think it would be a blowout, that is why i simply took them at -0.5. ive played on two puckline dogs this year and hit them both but its not a good bet in my opinion. one empty netter will kill it.

Well, five of the six teams I picked won, but the Caps and Sharks needed overtime to do it so I went 3-3. I am happy for all of the folks that bet their left kidney on the sharks to win. Start writing captain joe thank you notes for the beauty tip to tie it.
