This is probably the biggest hole in your style. The first bet is okay, not great odds for a road team but with Ward out as good as it gets. But then you go PL. I don't get the logic there. You could bet the over, or bet ATL in regulation, but I think you see a huge number in +275, make it a half unit, and think it's a value play when it really isn't. What you've really done is put yourself in a position where you realistically either make .5 units on the ATL ML win, or if ATL loses you are -1.5. Hardly worth it. ATL ML and TT over or even game total over would have been a better combination. Betting both sides of the same team and not a regulation bet I guarantee you has cost you a lot of units this season.

I see what your saying here and understand the regulation bet style that some use. I guess with me I look at it a little differently. When I play PL its kind of the same way I play RL in baseball. I almost always bet ML bigger(unless there is alot of juice) and sprinkle the RL/PL smaller because its less likely to happen. In hockey by playing ML and PL I can still cash if game goes to OT just not as much. Like in Atlanta game today if I would of bet regulation on it I would of loss at end of regulation. Since I went with ML I still had a chance to cash a little bit but ATL lost so I lost both bets. I was wrong with ATL today and they sh*t the bed but I really thought they were going to get a solid win. This is kind of the -1 approach I use in hockey/baseball. I essentially played ATL -1 +193 for a .5 unit and ML +110 for a .5 unit. With dogs its obviously alot harder to hit but they do hit. Look at Dallas tonight they won 4-0 easily I wish would of done same thing with them as I believe there PL was about the same. Normally this is something I would of thought about, but as I said I have been a little cold lately.

One thing I try to limit myself on is playing sides and totals of same game. We talked about this a couple days ago, it was actually something you brought up because you noticed me lose a couple plays on a side and total in same game. I believe the specific example was that SJ vs Buffalo game. I took SJ-1 and Over 5.5 for game both for 2x. Neither one hit and I lost about 4.5 units on it I think. Today I did like the Over in the Atlanta game but I liked Atlanta better so that is what I played. Looking back on it now the smart play since I liked Atl and the over probably would of been the TT O 2.5. Again though I thought if Atlanta scored 3 goals they would win the game, obviously this is not what happened. I like TT more for Faves not Dogs because of juice associated with TT O 2.5 most times. Most dogs dont score 3 goals and lose. It happens obviously but I like my chances when a dog I bet on gets to 3. With a fave there TT are usually set at 3 and sometimes the juice is less than it is for the ML on the game. I.E. Wings games at home they are almost always -150 or more against everyone, but there TT might be set at 3 -120 or something. All 13 of the Wings home victories they have scored 3 or more every single time. I know this because I am a huge homer but there is probably other teams that are similar. So if I like the Wings to win at home with this trend I should just cut the juice and play TT everytime because even a couple of there losses at home they scored 3 or better.

I am a big fan of RL in MLB, but it really isn't the same thing at all. Way too many games are going to OT this season and it's because in a close game teams are playing for the point they get for going into OT. Nothing on the line to win it in regulation. For that reason it's always risky to bet ML and PL on the same game. If you have a lean on a game, go with it, don't try to make more money by side-betting the same action.

ML for 1 unit and PL for .5 unit makes a lot less sense to me than ML for 1.5 or even 2 units.

Frustrating night Hot Wings. I had a lot of the same plays. Phi up 1 with 5 min left and they lose in regulation. Had that happen in the Nsh game too. I still feel we had good caps on the game just didnt get the bounces. GL tonight.

Thanks guys..... Hockey has been rough to me this whole new year. Hopefully I can turn it around soon I dont intend on giving it all back, that is for sure. On the plus side I have been winning in NBA lately. The funny thing is I spend about 20 minutes a day coming up with those picks and they have been money so far. Hockey I spend hour or two and keep losing lately. Ill be ok though not worried about it, just going through the motions right now.
