DG's 2010-2011 NHL Thread

DG, Letang got kicked out, very poor call was a shoulder on shoulder hit just the other guys helmet came off and he stayed down so the ref more than likely ejected Letang on that basis. Problem is now being left with 5 defencemen, only one of which was a pens regular last year, not ideal.

Tompa, I agree it was a retarded call but at the end of the day it's the pens inability to create chances that is costing us, especially on the powerplay where we look very poor imo.

Well, Letang flat laid out Comeau with a great hit, referees thought it was a hit to the head, he gets a 5 min major, and they get a lucky shot bounce and goal, and then a obvious islanders hook in the neutral zone, no call, and it turns to another Islanders goal, just as the PK ended. its making me nocius how much lucky bounces they get.. and its so frustrating to see that theyre totally dominated (like I foresaw) and they are still getting lucky calls and bounces and that puts them back in the game all the time..

but, the biggest issue here is the pens PP... Its the worst ive even seen and I play d3 Sweden

its so bad it makes my skin crawl..

hehe, didnt even see your post, but yeah, youre absolutely right, its just that its the 3rd time in a week that Im fading the Islanders and its the 3rd time theyre getting those lucky bounces its making me so mad, and also, my bankaccount does not like it

Tompa, dont get me wrong I aint having a go, I agree there been some crazy bounces and crazy calls!! Don't blame you for fading the Isles they were awful last year and the pens should be beating them based on talent. Islanders ranked 27th on PP and 29th on PK last yr but somehow bossing the pens on special teams lol.

We look weak going forward, too many turnovers. And on defence you compare last year Gonchar, Eaton, Leapold, McKee..and right now in place we have Engelland, Hutchinson, Lovejoy & Martin (fair enough martin has experience), imo much weaker, plus loosing Orpik to injury its no wonder we cant keep it tight at the back.

There thats my rant over haha

Malkin is a turnover machine, and were weak on the wings aswell, cant see Pens going to the SC with packed teams like Washington in our way. But they should still a**ra*e this Islanders team, so should every other team in the league, this is a bottom 5 in the NHL team, everything is a success.

Its alright dude, I see your point, definately. Its not just the Pens though, my rant was based on the bad luck that Ive had all season long so far, and fading the isles is costing me my rent

its just making me so mad that I cant catch a break with the bad calls and the lucky bounces my way, man my last 3 P.O.D. s have been lost during the last minute of the game pretty much, had the Rangers against the Isles (lost in the latter part of the 3rd per) then the Caps -1,5 (bäckström overskates the puck with an open net and 20 seconds left) , yesterday the wilds go over at home, I mean COME ON! And allways with the hook at .5 with the over/under plays, im just being so outlucked by the bookies.

I feel like an asshole when I laugh at the injuries on DiPi, hopefully he will let in an easy one soon. Come on Pens!!

Malking is a turnover machine and the PP is so bad I change stream when Isles get a penalty.. our wings are weak aswell, its all about Crosby and Geno this year.. wont be a SC team ..

another piece of shit call from the referee.. I feel like that dude in the bible, the one that god punishes to test his faith.. never ever been so much out of luck, it cant be for real.. it just cant. Its like I can decide what happens in the game by betting the opposite.

EDIT: when I had Lundqvist on my side, he let up 6 against a lowly injury proned islanders.. now hes playing god against the Leafs, when I happen to have the leafs...

Since I have the leafs on ML I recommend EVERYBODY to play the Rangers to win live.. (hope nobody read this

It should go under the way both teams have played so far but I think back to last years playoffs when there was a ton of scoring so that scares me off. Just too close for me to make a play.
