#11593-3 -$19 on the day. Can't believe the Stars/Wings 1st period over didn't hit with a goal in the first minuteGood try Flax, I guess we will stick with our main jinxer Pride for LOCK posts
Unlucky the over didn't hit in Philly too with 2 quick ones in the 3rd. Both +$ plays hit which was nice. Overall I'm pretty happy as I didn't have much time to cap today at all. Things are turning in the right direction the last 3 days though.

#1161DG, forgive me for coming in your thread to chime in on this, but as a Hawks fan I thought I'd give my 2 cents.. First and foremost, saying Vancouver is "overhyped" this year is completely innaccurate. It is a brand new season. Vancouver has the experience and the personnel to win the Cup this year, and they are my pick to do so. Just because they didn't win the Cup the last two years doesn't mean they are choke artists. You can't win every year. They are still a top NHL team, and I definitely don't want to see the Hawks draw them in the playoffs again... Second, just because the Hawks lost a chunk of players last year doesn't mean they aren't going to contend again. They won last year because of their defense. Losing Niemi and replacing him with Turco is not a big deal. Huet was 26-14, with a 2.50 GAA last year, and he is the worst goalie I have ever seen. The Hawks are also off to a slow start because their "core" group have been playing poorly. It isn't the new guys. It doesn't matter who won last year, how teams played last year, who is replacing who, etc etc. The Cup isn't won in October, nor do they automatically give it to the team that won before. Sorry about the rant.

#1164Thanks man. Sucks being down still but once I'm up I tend to roll out the profit week after week. First few weeks of the NHL can be pretty back and forth but once each team plays a good 15-20 games I have a lot better feel for how each one plays etc and a lot more relevant stats to research.Comment -

#1175i think Flames and under this year good play when flames at home but away i think Kipp is going to have a very very rough year and will let in alot more goals home away from home and they dont have the big boy Dion anymore to really intimidate teams so flames will not make the playoffs i feel they will have a losing season but cant really say real early into the season will know how every team will be by im guessing 6th week of hockey.Comment -

#1178Whats your thoughts on Pittsburgh tonight DG? It feels inevitable for them to win one at home, being 0-3 in their new arena?
And ofc Toronto to go 4 in-a-row?Comment -

#1179I don't have any facts to back this up... but being a leaf fan, and watching every leaf game i possibly can....well i just have a gut feeling the rangers are gonna win tomorrow. I hope i'm wrong! nothing would make me happier than to see my leafs go 4-0 ... i just have a bad feeling about this game.Comment -

Jean-Sebastien Giguere is projected to play between the pipes Friday.
Giguere was given Wednesday's contest off after posting a 1.51 GAA and .935 save percentage in two starts. In contrast to the Leafs' 0-7-1 start to 2009-10, they've won their first three games this season.

#1189This is note worthy indeed.
----------------------------------------------------------
Patrick Kane (illness) won't play on Friday, but coach Joel Quenneville is still hoping that he'll be able to return on Saturday.
Kane wasn't able to practice on Thursday and he stayed in Chicago while his teammates traveled to Columbus for Friday's contest. They'll be back in Chicago to play the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

--------------------------------------------------------
Marty Turco will be back between the pipes for the Blackhawks on Friday.
Turco got off to a rocky start with an overtime loss to Colorado and a lost to Detroit in the first two games of the season. Coach Joel Quenneville handed the next two assignments to backup Corey Crawford but is going back to Turco on Friday against Columbus. He has a 0-1-1 record with a .895 save percentage and a 3.41 GAA. Put him in if he is on your reserve.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Coach Scott Arniel said R.J. Umberger (undisclosed) is feeling better, but he might not practice Thursday.
Umberger also missed Tuesday's practice, but Arniel still likes his chances of playing Friday. "If I'm a betting man I doubt he will (miss Friday's game)," Arniel said. If Umberger can't play on Friday, it will be the first game he's missed since he joined the Blue Jackets prior to the start of the 2008-09 season.

Blue Jackets, Mason will be given the nod for Friday. Looking to bounce back season after a terrible sophmore season.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Love the Blue Jackets to take this one now.
BOL on all your plays tonight.
