I'm a casual worker so I've been turning down shifts since I don't really need the money but I accepted a couple just to stay in their good books

Stay away from Pokerstars it's by far the most rigged site out there. If you can find a less popular site I would recommend it over a huge main stream one. I play on bwin.com, way more realistic and less ridiculous 1 outers on the river and other stuff that makes your jaw drop like pokerstars. Unfortunately just like Pinnacle, no Americans allowed on bwin. In terms of books the only one I ever read was Doyle Brunson's Supersystem and the rest I learned from others or on my own. I used to play poker more but really don't have as much time to grind MTT's for 5+ hrs anymore.

I used to use them but after awhile you pretty much learn the odds on your own. I'll find some tools I use for you a bit later on and help you out with some good pointers for new players

hi guys. after going over the 2 grand mark the last couple days i really took it in the ass today losing just over 300. had florida over 2 .5 goals for my biggest bet. 3 losses in the caps game...over 5.5,caps over 3.5, and 1st period over. my only win was washington 1st 60 minutes.

i was hitting the internet cafe here to wager. opened without much time to post. they finally came and hooked up the laptop yesterday. like a degenerate,i woke up at around 4 a.m to play the early games. all games low scoring,except yotes/stars, and no 1st period overs. what a bust. 1 of those days were i had no luck at all.

as for beers. well i'm not found of the san mig brand so i look for imports. found some Tsingtsao 680 mil bottles at a store in the mall. any of you guys try Tsingtsao? at only 40p(1$) per bottle, i was surprized. of course..it was low ball. 3.1%.hah. went back and they got Heineken now. small bottles for 2$ each.

around 10 a.m now. taking the baby and heading to the market. the baby is a fan favorite here cause he looks like me not many "foreigner babies" around.

I dunno about you guys but today's just not a good day to gamble hockey... considering the progress the hurricanes are making i say they should beat the oilers and they should just lose like always as for totals i have no clue... i estimate that the hurs can get a + because their offense on the previous few games arn't half bad! And with the oilers slowly making a comeback, i think they will also donate some goals to the totals.Anyways i have no clue im just gonna put 5$ today the odds are just no good, no good at all.

i think i will be going with Fla/Ana 1st period under. both of these teams are pretty low scoring, especially in the 1st period. If Vokoun and Hiller are confirmed, i will definately be making this play. Vokoun has been really good lately and Hiller is decent.

Panthers haven't hit at least 3 goals in any of their last 7 games. The team total is looking good again for me. The question is how will the Ducks come out after the trade. Was Giguere a popular guy in the dressing room?

I like the Pens/Sabres over. Lots of offense. If Fleury and Millar decide to put on a "I should be #1 on the Olympic team" performance than we might see a different outcome.

Off topic: I'm sure someone can answer my pc related question. Went to buy a wireless connection for the laptop. The girl sold me a usb adaptor. I just don't think this thing will work. Tried it and get nothing. Don't you need a router to hook up a laptop? An adaptor is good if you have a desktop already...correct?

The sales lady said it will work 100%. Yeah right. They don't give no refunds..you have to put the money you spent towards another item. I seen they have a wireless g router..that's what I probably need. Not to comfortable cramped up in the room here. Like to lay back and watch the scoreboard.

i dont know man, i would be careful with this one especially at this line of -150. i know Carolina has won 4 straight but they are really bad on the road, 6-20. They should be able to beat Edmonton especially without Souray but the line is just too high for my liking.

Some really good, complete books about poker:

* The Dan Harrington Series (there are 3 volumes, you can find ebooks all over the Internet)
* Doyle Brunson's Super System, Vol. 2 (the one that was published in 2003)
* Phil Gordon's Little Green Book

If you're going to play online poker, especially for cash games, I would recommend anyone to use Poker Tracker 3. You can only have a 60-day trial for free, but it's really worth seeing if you can be a profitable player using it. It keeps track of your stats, your opponents' stats (like their frequency of pre-flop raising, the % of hands they play in early position, middle position, late position, etc., directly at the tables. It can be used with most of the mainstream sites (Stars, Full Tilt, Party, Bwin, Bodog, Absolute, etc.) It's also pretty useful in SNGs and Multi-Table Tournaments. You can also keep track of stuff like your rate of success while holding every combination of 2 cards. Personally, I love PT3 and I doubt I could be a profitable player in online poker without using it.

For poker articles and news, I like visiting pocketfives.com. Many fine articles and knowledgeable people post on the forums.
