how about Bos/Car 1st under. Boston is really low scoring in the 1st (28th) and Carolina is 18th.
Boston is the worst offensive team in the league at 2.5 gpg. Carolina is second worst

also Col/Dal should be over 1.5 first. Col is 5th highest scoring 1st period team and Dallas is 11th.

DG, where do you get the 1st period stats for previous meetings between the teams?

covers.com then you have to click each matchup manually and look unfortunately. Takes a bit of time, but it's worth it. Yeah the under looks good in that one. I am leaning towards Boston as well.

hey DG, i looked at covers but still couldnt find 1st period stats. anyways. i think i will be making the bos/car 1st under 1.5 play. both teams have bad offense and both played last night so they will be a bit tired at the start of the game. also both teams traveling. should be a low scoring affair.
after looking at Dal/Col i dont really know about that one. seems like Col had many under trends in this situation.

BOS (-113) vs CAR $113 to win $100
The Bruins haven't lost 5 straight games in over two years and are in a nice spot to rebound tonight against the Hurricanes. The Bruins are 4-1 coming off a loss in back to back games and the Hurricanes are 2-5-1. The Bruins find themselves one point out of the final playoff spot and should be motivated to get back into the playoffs with a win tonight. The Hurricanes don't have much more to play for but pride so I think the Bruins will be hungry to get back in the win column. The Bruins have won 9 of the last 13 meetings and 2 of 3 this year including a 4-2 win in Carolina.

thinking about tomorrow's games

Penguins/NYR over 1.5 1st period. Penguins score lots of 1st period goals (3rd) and NYR are 12th. they also tend to give up many goals.

also Cal/St.L over 1.5 first. Cal is 8th in first period scoring and St.L is 9th. however these teams dont usually give up many goals in 1st. so i dont know about this one.

Vancouver scores many 1st period goals and gives up quite a few of them. seems like Buf plays defensively 1st period so this one is probably 50/50

yeah man. you definately introduced me to first period betting. i have been doing this for a few years and have never heard of ppl makin money off it before.

its been great following you this past week. i took some really bad hits to the bankroll the past 3 weeks but following you i have been slowly but surely working myself back to where i was a month ago.
