I seriously don't get the point of these stats. They met once this season and TB lost after NJ tied the game with 1 second left. They won in shootout despite being outshot by TB 44-34. Those other 11 meetings don't mean anything at all. Based on the previous meeting, you'd be hard pressed to argue that NJ dominated the game and should therefore dominate this one or win easily.

- thats funny dude. One question why are the devils plus+102 at pinnacle and -110/-105 everywhere else? The lightning are a 2 star play.

Yes it does have something to do but i wont go i details to explain my point.
But what i can say i look at both teams and NJ have the edge on offence, deffence, goalies and coaching. Special team are pretty much even.

The core of both teams have been the same for years so this does mean something. Its a mental edge if anything. Not saying its a lock but New Jersey is the better team and Tampa likely misses the playoffs this year. Good value on the Devils plus chittycrappy is in net for the Lightning guys a can.

Come on, you can't be serious. Brodeur is old and busted. No Elias makes that offense look kind of pathetic. Zubrus your top line centre? Those defensive pairings aren't anything to really fear. So, if you're thinking this is the same core, that's kind of insane.

On paper, TB's offense looks way stronger. Two solid lines of offense and Hedman/Ohlund or even Meszaros/Foster are better than anything NJ can throw on the ice on defense.

Obviously the nod goes to NJ in net, but these teams are not the same as they have always been. Brodeur will have to stand on his head again tonight to steal a win.
