Flea Hotel's Iconic Team Totals Thread

Too much juice (-160) on the over 2.5, I'd rather push at 3 and go for 4. I'd do -130 or maybe -135 for the 2.5 but not -160. My models have Chicago getting 3.85 goals so I'm comfortable with this play.

Hey Flea,

Where do you find these lines (TT O3) before game time? I can only get them at Bet365 like 10 minutes before game starts.

Right now I only have O2.5

I'm having the same issue. My book only offers team totals over 2 or 2.5. that's it, nothing else. Maybe I need to change sportbooks.

888 and 5Dimes have them. Bet365 is annoying as hell with hockey. 888 puts out about 250 props per game before noon EST. 888 and 5Dimes are what I use for NHL. I assume Pinnacle or Heritage have the TT Over 3's. 888 has them from .5 to 10

Effective tomorrow, I will use only 5Dimes for all lines, since both US and International betters can use it.

5 dimes has it at 2.5 too. i can't find the 3 even with alternate lines expanded. Pinnacle also has it at 2.5 only.

I couldn't tell you either Flea Hotel. The book I use is called Bettiger.net. I'll try and do some research. Either way we're still on your picks, just a lower level lol.

I'll do some more research too, I need to find a universal book that everyone can use for prices and tracking purposes, or just use the 2.5's from 5Dimes and/or Pinnacle. Maybe I'll just use the SBR Sportsbook lines, which I'm pretty sure are 5Dimes.

BTW, what I'm doing about the totals is, wait till 10 minutes before game starts, on BET 365 I put 1/4 of my bet on exactly 3 and 3/4 of it on O3.5, usually the odds for exactly 3 is +300 (thus a push). The odds for the O3 is the calculated as 3/4 of the odds for the O3.5... It's a pain in the ass doing the math but it works...

Most annoying is have to wait till the game is close to bet on it

Interesting nick nackery abut the Bet365. I too take advantage of their live betting but never in hockey, Thanks for the heads up.

Well, if you paid the juice you're happy, if you have 888 or another book that let you play the 3, you're indifferent with a touch of happy blah since you still got credited with a bet.

missed this post. i'm always tinkering with the live betting on Bet365. There is a value to be found, especially live betting the NBA. If the better team is down by say 8 going into the 4th, sometimes they'll pay +500 or more. I couldn't count how many times I got in at +500 and 10 mins later the other team was +500. It's fun, because you know some dolt is over there making those lines. Cleveland on Xmas day is a good example. They were down a dozen but were playing well and were +1100 with 8 mins to go or something. You gotta make sure you're watching the game and have a feel for the tempo and momentum.

888 and I think Bookmaker are the only two books that let you bet alternate team totals pre-game, I think. 888Sport is actually at times quite cheap and usually have interesting player props that have windowed for me a lot. They also have some of the worst poker players in online poker if poker is your thing.

I got Toronto scoring 3.91 and LA scoring 5.09. I hate that most books don't offer alternate team totals. I'm up so much on 888Sport betting over 3.5's at major plus money. As knicksrulez said, you can live bet the over 3.5 10 mins or so into the game but most books won't even let you do that. If you can, take the o3.5 on the Kings. 888 has it at +215. Grrr.
