Both teams scores a lot against each other historically
Two backup goalies.
I also think one angle is that Islanders will play more softer today as they have a back-to-back against rivals Penguins tomorrow.
Montoya has been playing good, but he is a home goalie, away he's stats are not that good.




Capitals vs Oilers: Capitals in Regulation (2.7u)
Capitals can't be happy with last game collapse, looking to get a win in Edmonton to start the road trip on a good note.
Talbot has been solid, but Edmonton has had the easiest schedule in the whole league. Now they big boys from Capitals comes, and with a balanced good offensive lineup, they will penetrate those oilboys.

I'm getting tired of missing games with 1 goal, if it's over and under it always seems to be 1 goal diff, if I play AH -1.5 they only win in regulation. Empty net doesn't seem to happen. Hopefully it will change.

Detroit takes too many penalties due to the new players in the team and this will continue, especially tonight when penguins will select lineup matchup.

Penguins have great 4 lines so this should be a solid pound play.
This game penguins should win easily.

Islanders will host Red wings in NHL.New York has started to play well and they have a decent team that has somewhat underachieved a bit this season.Detroit will be on a back to back game, and last night talk about a completed collapse. Having the lead 3 - 1 vs Pens and losing by pens scoring 4 consecutive goals.Veteran players can handle that type of losses, but Red wings roster has alot of young players due to injuries so I think this game we will see a lacklusted performance by Red wings. As islanders is having home advantage they will be able to put Taveres line against the weaker side of Detroits line and this smells disaster. Halak is probably in goal, and last game he looked fantastic, so hoping he can continue like this.Predict score: 4 - 1 Islanders.

Kings are playing good and are getting fairly healthy minus Quick. That is a big break, but they are solid on the blue line.For Montreal Price are argubly the best goalie in the league. Montreal is having problems scoring on the road, 3 goals in 3 last game. Montreal doesn't generate too many shots against Kings, so kings defensive system is working playing Montreal in Staple center. There PP is also cold. No goals in the last 3 games.I'm expecting a defensive minded game and think the under 5 goals is very probable.

Troy Stecher, Nikita Tryamkin and Alex Biega. BIEGA is a defensive defender, which will not generate much offense, in any playoff team he will not have a spot. Stecher has decent offensive capabilities, he still needs time to grow into NHL. Nikita Tryamkin is a big 6'7 defender which has a lot of potential. He might need more games in NHL to learn to read the speed of the game a bit better. He's performance this year has been decent so far.Goalie:Ryan Miller has been decent considering that Vancouver is probably one of the worst defensive team in the league, however he has really poor stats in away games (90.1% with a save proc) of 3.23 GAA.Against Tampa Last 2 seasons he doesn't have good numbers: (3 GA 88.8%), (3 GA 92.3%), (2 GA 88.2%)Tampa hasn't confirmed their goalie, but anyone that they put in Bishop or Vasilevskiy should handle Vancouver which are 28th ranked in the league in goals per game.
