I need to win at least 8.9u on my next wager to continue this dumb chase.
In the past, I would flat bet a few games every day. I found that it was very difficult to be consistently successful when you were flat betting multiple games. I've been experimenting with Martingale lately and I have to say it's generally working pretty well, at least with NFL, NBA, and NCAAB (I suspect mainly because you're dealing with 5 or 10 cent bets). It's way tougher with NHL because the lines are so juiced. It gets messy fast if you lose a few in a row. That's why I've been doing so many regulation bets. It becomes way more affordable if you're chasing.
I was reading something the other day that blew my mind. If you had bet against the GS Warriors ML every game this year, if you were doing a Martingale chase you'd be down almost $9 million. Just goes to show you that even if you manage your bankroll perfectly, you can still get destroyed doing this.Comment -

I have thought about chasing some teams in nhl too, but dunno - maybe didn't have the cajones to do so.
Tampa Bay and SJ were 2 of 3 teams I was keying in on...and they have both been bad this season.
What I am looking more at is teams who have lots of 1 - goal wins and 1 goal losses.
Detroit, Boston, LAK, Mont are a few I've noticed that just don't lose by more than 1 often...so betting them at +1 or +1.5 in good spots...or even doing a chase on them at +1.5 is nearly automatic.
Funny thing is tonight I finally bet GS Warriors on a parlay for 1st time this season an they LOSE!!! Leave it to me to break long winning streaks. I mean - what like 23 straight wins and I pass them up only to play them on Loss #1?Comment -

Today I'm going to have to wager like 9u or 10u on a dumb ass hockey game because I've lost a few in a row. When you're rolling along like normal, it seems like the best idea in the world. Then you go cold and you realize why so many people hate it.
That's a very interesting theory you have there on +1.5 chases. That makes a lot of sense.
And yeah, I almost bet GS last night too. funny how that works.Comment -

#69Red Wings too close for comfort at the moment...
Looks like the Caps hit easy. Unfortunately Kings are in some trouble. They managed to give up 4 goals in the 2nd period! They still have like 15 min to score another goal to at least give us the cover. Fingers crossed.Comment -
