LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings signed restricted free agent forward Michael Cammalleri to a one-year contract Wednesday.

The 24-year-old center led the Kings with 26 goals in 80 games last season, the second-highest scoring output on the team. He also had a team-leading 15 power-play goals and was first on the Kings with 206 shots while playing his first full NHL season.

Cammalleri was taken by the Kings in the second round of the 2001 draft. He made his debut with Los Angeles in 2002-03.

In 139 NHL games, he has 40 goals, 38 assists and 92 penalty minutes.
