I have done well with +1 Parlays of late...thinking of a couple combos:
The reason I do this is that teams like Detroit are often in close games - and I think Detroit will win, but at home, they have a lot of 1-goal losses when favored to win. I don't see Wings losing by more than 1 vs. Isles.
My biggest profits so far in hockey are from these 2-way parlays - it's safer, and cuts down on some juicy lines.
Pitt (+1) / Chicago (+1/2 - 1st 60 min.) 1.1 units to win 1 unit
Detroit (+1) / Sharks (ML) 1 unit to win 1 unit
If Detroit wins...Avs (+1.5) .75 units to win .5 units

hey thanks! wasn't sure how i'd be able to make out especially trying to pick the whole board every night. Pretty happy with the results through my first 100 picks. Tonight might be a tough one to 'cap though, as there are a lot of close games and being this close to christmas, some guys may already be thinking ahead to their travel plans or turkey dinners etc. I haven't looked at the board yet other than the Wpg/Edm game but will have some picks up this afternoon.Comment -
Great! Yeah, at first glance it looks easy to pick, but then I see some close games and some teams (Pitt / StL) that may have a tougher time vs. weaker opponents.
I like Detroit right now as a pretty sure bet over Isles, but going with Detroit +1 with Blackhawks ML to be safe. Hawks can't lose another won in a row.
I like the Under in the TB-Fla (U6) game too, and will parlay that with another one. Leaning Kings, but they Dallas plays decent on the road I believe. Or maybe I'll go with the Sharks (1st 60 min.), since they've only lost 1 at home all season.Comment -

It's a steep line (-330), so I parlayed it with a play that is also on the safe side, Blackhawks ML. I don't know if I'd recommend either play by itself with the heavy juice.
If I were confident in the Pens today, you can get +1.5 for about -350 odds, and for a favorite, that's not that bad.Comment -

I think the Blues are a great bet today. The Flames have been so inconsistent and StL have won their last 2 games by a combined score of 11-1. I'm surprised they're almost at even money for a regulation win.
I also like the Jets over the Oilers at plus money. Think the books are really off on their line here. Edm shouldn't be favored over any team in the league right now.
The Rangers are going with Cam Talbot in net again tonight after a good win against Min last night. That's enough for me to ride the streak against a Leafs team that's been in turmoil of late.

What's the scoop with the Penguins at such a low ML price? They have a 7-game Win streak and have played well lately vs. Ottawa. The Sens have not been good all season. Malkin appears to be back, and Pens are a good road team. Do you see them losing by more than 2 in Ottawa?
I was all over StL today, but I saw a stat that favored Calgary.

Yeah I noticed the low pens line as well, not really sure why that would be but it was good enough for me to throw in to my parlay for the day (i usually do 1 4-team round robin on these days with a ton of games). I'm not a fan of laying such big prices to take teams with +1. I find usually if a good team is going to lay an egg and lose, it usually turns in to one of those 4-1 or 5-2 type games (like Boston against Buffalo last week) where there's no good explanation for them losing other than they just came out and shit the bed. All that being said, looks like you're on the same sides as me so I don't dislike anything of the teams you took. I don't usually do a whole lot on totals so can't comment on TB/FLA much.
