The Flames roll into Minnesota tonight to take on the Wild, who have won 5 of their last 6 games with their only loss coming in Chicago. They've also won 6 of 7 on home ice. Calgary is coming off their big OT win in Chicago 2 nights ago to start their 4 game road trip which continues in St. Louis and Colorado later this week. I'm going to stick with the hot team and hot goalie, Josh Harding is confirmed already for Minnesota, sporting a 7-2-1 record, .950 save% with a 1.10 GAA. Like the Wild to continue rolling at home tonight.

The Sens are going into Columbus tonight looking to avoid losing their 6th in a row. I believe Ottawa will be digging deep to pull out a victory tonight against the also struggling Blue Jackets, who have lost 3 in a row themselves. Both back-ups in net tonight as well.
I also like the Canucks tonight visiting the Coyotes. The Coyotes are 6-0-1 on home ice compared with Vancouver's not too shabby 6-2-1 record on the road. I know Phoenix is an offensive powerhouse on home ice, but Vancouver has been playing well defensively lately not allowing more than 2 goals in their last 5 games.
I can see one, if not both of these 2 teams winning and with both at +$, I like the value here.

The Caps have begun to turn their season around after their slow start, winning 5 of their last 7 games. With Ovie probable to return tonight and perhaps spark the club, I like their chances against the Islanders tonight, who are starting a 4 game road trip.

My Girlfriend is a big hockey fan from Ottawa, so I know a little more about Ottawa than I want to! That being said, it should be noted that Ottawa's backup is actually a very solid goalie. Ottawa has GOD AWFUL defense! Columbus has acceptable offence. Ottawa's loss streak has occurred against mediocre teams, two of the blue jacket's losses have come from the pens. This game is a bit of a toss up, which usually makes me lean towards the + odds. I'm gonna join you on the senators, but I honestly think the jackets have a better chance of winning.

Liking the favs today boys at first glance. I will post the picks later... busy day at work.

Pittsburgh in New York tonight taking on the Rangers. Like the Pens tonight, just like everybody else on SBR. Pittsburgh is 8-1 in their last 9 vs. NYR and I like them to keep it up tonight. I can also see this being low scoring as Henrik Lundqvist is starting for NYR who has allowed 5 goals in his last 4 starts, and Pittsburgh playing better defensively this season allowing 26 shots per game on average.

I'm also loving the Av's toinght at home vs. Nashville. Nashville coming off a big win in LA in their previous game, Colorado going for a franchise best record to start a season tonight, and I don't see them letting off the gas. The Preds still have their goaltending issues, will either have Carter Hutton or Marek Mazanec in goal, the former having have 7 career NHL games, and the latter having 0 games of NHL experience.

So it looks like Al Montoya is getting the call for the Jets today vs. Chicago, who blew them out in Winnipeg Saturday afternoon. Montoya is 0-0-2 in 3 career appearances vs. the Hawks with a 2.99 GAA in that stretch. Pavelec allowed 4 goals on 14 shots Saturday, and with Montoya starting today, I'm kinda iffy on anything but Chicago ML, which is unbettable being at -263 right now. I do however think there'll be lots of scoring in this one, I think the over is the safer play.

The Flames are playing their 4th straight on the road tonight when they visit Colorado. Calgary has been playing a lot of hockey lately as this is their 5th game in 8 nights. Tonight is Colorado's 2nd game in 6 nights, and are looking to rebound from their loss to Nashville 2 nights ago.

Calgary has scored 1 1st period goal in their last 5 games, and are sporting a 3-8-4 1st period record. Colorado on the other hand has a 8-2-4 1st period record, and have shown they like to come out of the gate hot. Colorado starting JS Giguere tonight sporting his 4-0-0 record, 0.75 GAA & .977 save %, so I'm hoping Colorado can score a quick goal or two and win this 1st period for me.

The pitiful Panthers roll into Ottawa today to play an afternoon game with the Sens. Yesterday they fired their head coach Kevin Dineen, having lost 10 of their last 11 games and replaced him with their AHL team's coach, Peter Horachek in the interim. Ottawa is playing better hockey having won 2 in a row, and are back to scoring goals with 4 in each win. Tim Thomas may be back for Florida, but I'm not too concerned with who they start in net, I think Ottawa will prevail with the W today. I don't usually take the (-1) line because I hate pushing, but I did today because Florida, although they've lost 10 of 11, 4 of their last 7 losses have been in either OT or SO, so they are sticking around with teams. I also think Ottawa may win by 2 if their offense shows up again today, so the (-1) just felt right.

Good stuff Ser! 55% win rate is just fine (especially when your taking some dogs too!). I'm with you 100% on the 2u minnesota money line, and the Tampa Bay ML.

I think U5 is probably a decent bet for toronto and Boston. Reimer has a chip on his shoulder after that game 7 that I still lose sleep over, and I'm calling him to be hot as hell tonight. I actually bet on the leafs to win tonight for that game. Boston should definitely be the favorite, but certainly not a -200 favorite.
