Every chase in the 2nd round hit on the first game so, in the interest of continuing action to recoup from the unfortunate start, I am going to continue chasing CHI and PIT. To explain, I will continue to play CHI and PIT to win, until they lose (if they lose), at which time I will finish out that chase and plays on the series will stop. The rationale behind this is that, in my opinion, CHI and PIT are far better than their opponents and, as a result, the chancesof them losing 4 straight at any point in the series are extremely slim.

With LA in, the west final will be set tonight. I am inclined to take LA if detroit pulls it out tonight, however, if Chicago wins I am hard pressed to see a decisive advantage in either direction. Still looking into it--any input offered is appreciated and will be considered in the decision

Haha I was waiting for someone to bring that up. This is an ongoing debate in the stifler chases (not sure if youve seen those threads) and im not adept to explain the specifics of why it is better in the long run but it does seem to be the consensus that when chases play against each other you play as if they are completely independent. It does mean that if one loses that you will lose more than you would have otherwise but I believe you also win more in the long run as well. Ill look through the posts where people ran scenarios and try and come up with a better explanation. In the end, if both chases win, it is completely erroneous....you achieve the goal of winning 2 units.
