#5881Look at it this way, probably won't make you feel better but Bruins were playing with house money. If not for an all time epic collapse by Toronto, Boston would have been watching the finals on tv. For what it's worth.Comment -

#5882ok... but going by that logic bruins should have just quit and got swept in 2nd round. they whooped rangers, whooped the cup favorite pens, and had late 3rd period leads against hawks in game 1 and game 6 before blowing it. had a 2goal lead in 3rd in game1 (before bounce of Ference skate). And its not just that they lost. obviously losing sucks, but its how they lost. if chicago won 5-0 i'd be upset, but i'd get over it. i hate when i get lead, get my hopes up of winning $6,300... got taste of victory in mouth, all happy and shit... all to suffer heartbreaking collapse in last minute. i can lose. but i hate losing like this. I hate getting hopes up and then getting crushed. top it off with the fact i had $6,300 riding... i mean shit. what an aweful way to lose $6,300. i am a poor man. 6300 is a lot to me. i got my hopes up to have dreams squashed. i can take losing. but when i got one of biggest bets of my life riding, and got a lead with 1min left in 3rd, to collapse like that giving up 2goals in 17s in last minute, its tough. It's a tough loss. definitely. really tough loss. especially with how hard they played and how well they played all playoffs. i've had heart broken as boston fan before (pats/celts)... but never one like this.Comment -

#5884Also if anyone is interested in some CFL betting check out my good buddy's thread. He's my main degenerate gambler friend in real life and have spent many hours grinding in casinos with him over the years. He knows his CFL and I've won many bets tailing him over the years

#5885Great move for the Nucks! Love it! Was really hoping for Tortorella, guy could be the exact coach this team needs. Didn't understand why the Rangers fired him anyway, think they are going to bite their own ass with AV as new coach.Originally posted by DennisGreenI love Torts already after his presser today

Agreed I loved his press conference today. Liked all the stuff I was hearing from him. Also he's signed to a 5 year deal so hopefully he really changes the mindset of the Nucks.Comment -

#5890Definitely looking like a buy out at this point. The Canucks cannot afford him with the lower salary cap. Either that or Gillis trades him for whatever he can get.Originally posted by odog11DG how would you set the odds on Luongo's future? Trade, buyout or still with the Canucks? #5893Did not see that comingOriginally posted by skyscrapersUnbelievable...Luongo stays put at +450 and Schneider gets traded to Jersey for just a 1st round pick.

Initial reaction was a lot of rage and anger but I heard that Canucks ownership refused to buy out his contract because they weren't down with paying millions to a guy not even on their team. Can understand it I guess since they can't trade Luongo for anything so might as well roll with him I guess. I think Schneider is gonna absolutely kill it in Jersey under a tight defensive system like the Devils play. I'm happy he was traded to the East though. I heard the Oilers offered quite a bit more but Gillis didn't want to trade to a divisional rival which is understandable. I may have become half an Oilers fan if he did
Also heard a far out rumor that Kesler had banged Schneider's wife so Schneider wanted out
That was apparently the "undisclosed injury" he had. There were rumors of Jeff Brown banging Kirk Mclean's wife back in the 90's as well. What is it with the goalies wives being banged by teammates!

#5898wow ever heard of dont shit where you sleep? if the wife was gonna cheat, why do it with another guy on husbands same team? why you gonna make your husband go through that agony? unless marriage on the rocks and wife doing it out of spite because shes an angry bitch and wants to get back at him. seriously do it discretely. well, then again maybe hockey wives have a thing for hockey players. its understandable. hockey players are definitely the most masculine and have testosterone off the freaking charts. hockey is the only occupation where you can beat the shit out people at your workplace and not get fired. imagine working in financial sector and punching the shit out of an employee at another firm during sales presentation. lol you're gonna get fired, go to jail, and never get hired in business ever again. but not in hockey!Comment -

#5902They could have got a lot more from the Oilers or Flames. I heard a decent prospect, 1st and a 2nd from EDM but obviously teams prefer not to trade inter-division as the majority of their games are against divisional opponents. I think the offer came in late as well so they had to make a quick decision. They must be quite high on Horvat for making the move.Originally posted by odog11How much do you think the undisclosed injury/possible head case episode hurt his trade value? #5909He really isn't that bad of a goalie. Great regular season goalie but questionable in the playoffs particularly in crunch time and after letting in a weak goal. It could be a lot worse and in a way my Canucks need to do at least a semi-rebuild anyways. Was happy with their draft picks though. Finally they drafted some gritty Canadian-born players instead of soft euros!Originally posted by hockey216i always thought luongo was gonna stay put. nobody wants to take on his contract. buy out not worth it since he is still a good goalie. not like he's bryzgalov being bought out. speaking of which... i bet philly signs tim thomas.
