Sorry Patty we got 2 but could not pull off the the 3rd... had to tcb & bailed before the 3rd started. Just finished watching it & was choked that Subban stopped the penalty shot would have been the icing on a very profitable day.

These international tourneys are a gold mine. I'm really looking fwd to the 2013 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships (May 3 to May 19, 2013. Finland and Sweden will host the event with games being played in Helsinki and Stockholm).

I don't really have a strong lean on the spread in that one, could go either way. The over 6.5's are tough as well. I like the 1st period over but could see the game ending 4-2 or something. If you have a site with live betting I'd wait for a better total like 5.5 or 6 if it starts off slow.

Bet365 offers the over/under by period at around 5 mins to game time.

I'll be playing the over 2.5 1st period the US game & also taking the US -2.5 for +110 and over 6.5. I think they will be fired up to prove they have what it takes.

DG, I also like the Swiss +2.5 goals - they have been playing great. I'm leaning towards the under 6.5 for this one as well.

I'm thinking about fading the US team. I watched them against Germany and their power play was terrible. They were doing better when it was 5 on 5, but I am far from a hockey expert. I know 6.5 is a large total in this sport, so I don't really want to get involved with betting the over in a critical game. Is this a single elimination tournament for the playoff rounds?
