How long does it take for books to catch up?
Just to keep it simple- I've made a fortune fading Memphis in cfb this year. However this week the line looks slightly sharper vs mtsu. How long does it take for books to get on their game with pretty much every random team?

It's actually not how long it takes the books to catch up though.. its how long it takes the public perception to catch up. Remember books only care about getting even action on both sides. For example, the book probably knows Memphis should lose by 35, but they think the public will average out around 28. If they opened the line at 35 the public would load up on Memphis until the line got to 28, then if Memphis decides to show up for a game the book loses money.

Books taking a bath this year

Up until this point of the year the books have been taking a bath on the favorites in college football. This is a year like I haven't seen in over a decade or so. Teams like LSU, Stanford, bama just to name a few have been covering the soft line and breaking the bank. If Vegas doesn't make the proper adjustments it's going to be a long year for your local book the off shore guys and Vegas as well. Vegas can handle the loses but your local guy can't. If you are following a tout or as we call them around here the scammdiecappers.....stop it right now and take the top ATS teams and you will come out ahead...that is until Vegas pulled their head out of their ass. Good luck to all.

Not too sure about American sports, but on the European football up till today the books still have not catched up on Manchester United:
