    Daily NBA Stat Feed/info/Site
    Does there exist a site/service...

That delivers a daily feed of the stats from the previous days NBA games?

If this does exist, how much is it?

      and go back a day.

what kind of stats do you need???

Referee weight? Hardwood floor taughtness? Towels used per team (TU-home team vs TU-away team)?

Well the reason I asked. I wonder if there a niche for me to create a service/subscription type deal. where there are nightly emails of the previous days games in various type feeds.

For example, standard feeds where the data is structured in some vanilla or cvs type format.

Or custom feeds, where the data is structure to match a users database or cvs (or any other format).

I dont know if the need exists. But i know there are people who spend a bit of time "hand" scraping data. And everyone in the world isnt the most technical in the world either. To write their own.

But it was just a thought.... I guess I'll ask you guys opinion on the venture.

THis would help me with my humidity-towel coefficient i was working on. We can trade databases if you have this towel data.

            Mav,

If you could scrape and e-mail (or post somewhere) boxscores of the 6 "major" sports (NFL, CFB, NFL, CBB, MLB, NHL) in most any format, I'd plump for $20-$25/per month or so easily. If you/we can get a few other guys, slow money could be made.

I can help with the scraping, but I am more interested in finding the best free sources of boxscores on the internet.

The best ones I have found cost money, but they come in XML and are close to real time.

I've never used Yahoo's but I like their clean HTML, easier to write regular expressions.

I've typically used ESPN myself. I do want to start working on hockey one of these days.

I would be down if i could get ~15 or so people. I could do that. I've got NBA, NFL, and MLB done already.

Statfox.com maybe? I use to play on bookmaker and I believe its one of the reward sites they offer. Never tried it, but maybe it will work.
