so the 2H line was Vandy -5
which is the same as Vandy -3 for the game, is that +EV since you are getting them -3 for the game when the spread closed at 7.5 or no

true, but assuming the line is accurate then it has taken the whole game into account

The first half line would have been Vandy -3.5 or -4

What makes you think a higher line for a half, -5 in this case, has value?

it was just a thought lookign at the game as a whole..

Washington Redskins -23.5 in the second half the other night would have been an amazing bet because you were getting them at +7.5 for the game instead of +3.5.
