Gambling literature that has helped you?
Anyone suggest any books, articles or websites that have helped them become better gamblers/handicappers?

    helpful books

Sharp Sports Betting by stanford wong
Betting Baseball 2006 by michael murray (highly recommend)

weighing the odds in sports betting by king yao (this books only 13 bucks on amazon, easily worth it)

Beat The Sports Books by dan gordon (some very good handicapping advice, particularly the section titled "pro bettors toolkit")

    I suggest reading this article:

don't automatically assume that you can make a fortune betting nba regular season by making ratings using the above article. I personally will only be using the ratings to bet on NBA playoffs. USE WITH CAUTION.

For the NFL you would want to use the ratings in a way that involves Yards per pass and yards per rush, rather than straight points.

    good luck

      Search posts made by Ganchrow.

Sharp Sports Betting by Stanford Wong is generally considered the Super/System of Sports Betting. Haven't read the stuff by King Yao, but it's supposed to be decent (although his stated aversion to Kelly is a bit disconcerting).

I guess you will be disappointed. It is fairly basic and adds nothing to the material posted on this forum.

Going through Ganchrow's posts should be the most educational experience.

Yea, there's nothing really in there that you don't already know. I was just throwing it out there.
