hey guys,

wondering if anyone has any stats or links to MLB totals, preferably AL and NL breakdown.

I would guess that 9 is the most frequent total.

If I remember correctly the average falls between 8 and 9 with the AL scoring about a half a run more than the NL on average, possibly someone here may have a database where they can quickly pull the exact number for you. This would be fairly easy to find the exact average if you do not find anybody to give you an exact number.

Average line over past 5 years was exactly 9.0 -- Average runs scored per game was 9.4, and 51.25% went over, with 48.75% going under.

Games where an NL team was the hometeam
OULine = 8.8
Average Runs = 9.2
49.9% Over, 50.1% Under

Games where an AL team was the hometeam
OULine = 9.2
Average Runs = 9.6
47.73% Over, 52.27% Under
