What is the best fair market value for this match up betting it to happen now before the season starts. I wouldn't place the wager because of injury factors, but let's discuss the setting of odds predicting the match up.

Well if the Patriots have a 1 in 4 chance of going to the Super Bowl and the Vikings have a 1 in 10 chance that's a 1 in 40 chance of both teams meeting in the big game. So even odds on that bet would be +3900... less vig I'd look for a line of +3500 or so.Comment -
If I were you, I'd just bet each to win their conferences. To calculate fair value, you'd need to either sim the season and playoffs or setup matchup odds (ML odds) for each teams' schedule (including who they would face in the playoffs), calculate the odds of each permutation, and add them all up.Comment
