smart people DONOT bet on horses....

only dumbos.....myself included...

w/p/s rake averages about 16%. higher rake on exotics. you must Winkyyy be wagering over your head. I would assume. NO. if so stop and wager small. it is a great game imo, but a tough one takes some skill to read between the lines. Good luck moving forward.

Anyone use software either commercial or just homemade figures?
On a different note, it is a fun sport to bet, but I've found you have to do a lot of sitting and limit wagering to spots here and there.

I just bet the ponies for the hell of it. I have kids and grandkids. I look for horses with their names and put a couple of bucks down on them. I think I am down 20 bucks in three years. Cheap for entertainment.

Expensive education; limit losses, abandon all gimmicks. My father was the greatest capper I ever met, taught me. started playing only DD, got destroyed. Gave up capping, started reading board only. More of an evolution, than solution, perhaps.

Smart people are the only people who win long term at betting horses, sports, wall street and poker.

I have a couple winning systems that I bought the last 25-30 years. And they still work. Just bet each play. 10 win 20 place and 30 show. I will share both systems here for free if you want to hear them. Let me know. They are simple. All you need is the racing form and my winning system.

First system. Look for a horse that ran an even race at 7f or less. Now stretching out to a mile or longer distance.

This means for example. Look at the call numbers that's lengths behind the leader. 7 6 3/4 5 1/2 6 1/4 see how even that is.
Rule #1 horse must between 3, between the lowest and the highest number.

Another example. 10 1/2 9 3/4 11 3/4 12 1/4 this would be a play. Less than 3.

You wonder why this system works? If it werent for the slow start in a sprint race he never got to run. He ran an even race.
Now stretching out to a mile or more the horse breaks well and has the speed and stamina to handle the longer distance. At good odds to.
I remember hitting quite a few big longshots. Usually 4-1 or better.
