    something i do.
i doubt that i bet like any other bettor on here. here is something i do during basketball season that some might like to try. i have always been a little afraid giving points but since i started doing this , it doesn't bother me as much. instead of playing a straight bet giving or getting points i will instead bet on both of the team totals of the participating teams. for example, suppose team A is a 7 point favorite over team B and i like team A. by shopping around i will play team A over 106 points and team B under 100 points. i have to pay full juice on both plays, but i can usually knock a point or 1 1/2 points off the spread this way. i love watching the scoreboard and this way of betting creates a lot of interesting end game situations.

These bets have strong negative correlation. Aside from the lower limits, the main problem with this strategy is that not only you paying the full juice but you also automatically lose the juice you paid for the correlated part. Similar to betting both sides, the correlation here is -1 and you just lose the whole juice you paid.

If you can find that, you can just play both sides of the totals and make a good living. God bless the 101's, 102's, 103's........
