Any recent experiences with DraftKings Onyx level?

Been part of DraftKings for 4-5 years now. I had Onyx level discretionarily given to me from 2000-2002. It took those whole three years to accumulate enough tier points to be a legit Onyx - so the status continued in 2023.

In 2023, my action was less on the site for a variety of reasons. When that year ended, they erased/reset most of the tier points - making me have to start over at the bottom level. Not a great experience there but I went on with 2024. In November, I reached enough tier points to be eligible for Onyx again.

With the Onyx level now “invite only” even if you reach the required tier points, I am wondering if it will even be given to me. Has been a couple of weeks since clinching and a host who was texting throughout September-November has not reached out at all lately.

Having had Onyx before, it’s not that big of a deal except for the yearly gift offer. But without a decent tier level, DK becomes just one of the crowd. I could reach out and bring it up but wanted to see what other experiences are out there.

Yeah, I’ve heard a few people mention the same thing about DK’s Onyx program lately. It’s tough when you put in the play, hit the points, and still don’t get the invite, especially after already being Onyx before. I’d probably reach out to your host just to check in; sometimes they need a little reminder to get things sorted.

I did get Onyx awarded but it did take until a month or so after having enough credits. Haven’t done as much with DK this year. Feels like the rewards and attention just get worse all the time.

I think generally it’s not worth bothering with the US apps anymore unless it’s tied in with rewards at a land-based casino you like. When it’s online only, you’re just one line in a big database of people.

I've been Onyx for a few years. Don't even open Draftkings anymore- Onyx gives me nothing now. I came nowhere close to Onyx in 2025 just because it doesn't feel rewarding anymore.

Yeah, same here. The rewards just aren’t what they used to be, and it takes forever to get noticed. Unless there’s a good casino tie-in, it doesn’t feel worth it anymore.
