We're just starting to get into the good games of bowl season, starting on Saturday. I've actually been really unimpressed with the quality of play in the games so far. UCLA/SDSU/Fresno all completely failing to show up, HUGE lucky late-game swings for Cincinnati/Arizona/BYU that changed the game's outcome in a blink, and all kinds of ugly plays across the board.

There's clearly too many bowl games in the current setup when you see such pathetic perfomances. Teams come in feeling entitled to bowl bids instead of hungry for bowl wins.

Hopefully it gets better...

you're definitely more of a fan then i am of college football - i get just as excited for the Beef o Brady bowl as i do for the Rose Bowl....just looking for the right play in each game. Today brought me into the red for bowl season, but i still feel pretty confident with what lies ahead. I really feel like T. Tech lays the hammer on Minnesota tomorrow. Not even sure if Minny will score >10pts to be honest.

Maybe. However the best opportunities arise when you know what you're going to get from a team, and most of the time that consistency is a product of good coaching, talented/experienced players, and disciplined play-calling. The regular season of NCAAF this year was my most profitable ever largely because I completely ignored 75% of FBS teams and focused on the ones that have the pieces in place to win competitive games. IMO, those games are also the best to watch.

Then to start the bowl season I got away from that philosophy and not only burned money on bad teams, but wasted time watching the garbage games as well.
