Unfortunately I don't have reliable tracking of game time in my db. Its a regret. It *is* something I'm looking at as an offseason project.

Won't be able to get to that until tonight.

Yep, but that is a very minor point.

While I see this as a major rule change, the game itself didn't change that much other than teams angling for OT ties in 4th Qtr. Frankly, I run my db as far back as I have sides line data (presently 1976).

Wreck is right. OT just doesn't matter much, unless you're researching how teams do off OT games.

I've got 25 points to whoever can give me an answer. After the USC/Stanford game I'm wondering how often a 7.5 point favorite has covered in games gone to overtime..... or just a percentage of overtime games where a team wins by 8?

My db schema is not set up to answer that in an easy fashion. Sorry.

My totals info is undergoing an overhaul and is out of commission this season. I've never been terribly successful at using a tech approach to totals - college or pro - and I'm working on a design of a new tool set for totals capping next season. Assuming I can finish all the other code I want to write.

Did you ever answer the question about road favorites of exactly 3 in conference games?

                      I didn't see that answer.

I get 78-92 ATS, -1.47 pts/game since 1990. But know that the line I record may not jive perfectly with what others might. Not real keen on doing tests on data that could vary so much.

Still, had to answer someone with that avatar. Its where I grew up.

Do you mind if I just do AP? Don't have BCS - AP is a much bigger dataset. Plus its pretty close to BCS.

Dogs when both are AP ranked - 511-545 ATS, -0.77 pts/game.

When you get nearly 1100 games in a sample, that is a cover margin you can work with.

                                Wanna add to that?
