    Ask my CFB database!
I've got a pretty good CFB db, and in an effort to help out - I'm new here - I thought I'd offer my services this weekend. Ask me a question and I'll run your query thru my db and post the results.

Actually, instead of providing recommendations I'm making my db available for any questions you might have. About a team maybe, or a specific coach, or a general situation you've always been interested in but didn't have the resources on your own to check out.

How far back do you go? I go back to 1985 but I usually only use data since 1998 (first year of overtime).

My data starts in 1990. I'm running a complete rebuild right now and am out of commission for probably about another hour.

I can run queries on coordinators, but not with a phrase like "west of the Mississippi". Though it wouldn't be that hard. Food for thought.

1990 is good, but you might be better served by shrinking it to 1998 if it makes things go any faster. I rarely look back before then.

Queries themselves are near instantaneous. Its the rebuilding of the db that takes time. I have roughly 400 fields I can query for each game. Rebuilding the current season takes a couple of minutes. Rebuilding from 1990 on takes a bit of time. Normally I don't do that but once or twice during the summer. But I found a cobweb that needs clearing.

Put the term Motivation in your database. You cant account for motivation, not to mention turnovers. In other words, databases dont work. See the Pitt game last night, surely your database would have probably had USF winning perhaps and if it didnt, surely it didnt have Pitt winning by more than 20 and the games it did have Pitt winning by more than 20 was probably less than 5% of all possible choices. If youre just trying to hit say over 50%, sure you may come up with something that hits that and better, hope it works out for you and others.

We've finally got a good source for data and we're asking sh*t like what's Penn St.'s record when Jopa craps himself (I believe 1-0). How bout this Editor... Many good cappers leaning heavier towards overs the last couple of years on the theory that as college offenses have opened up books are slow in raising totals... is this true? Can you berakdown yearly over the last say 5 years the % of overs that hit? Thx in advance.
