For some reason, I have been having trouble connecting with this website from my home. Not sure why that is, but wasn't able to post my Saturday or Sunday games. How did everyone do? I did lousy on Saturday winning Cincinnati, Stanford and LSU but losing Texas A&M, Notre Dame, a Notre Dame parlay with Alabama and finally Wisconsin straight up.

Sunday was a different story and was just sorry I wasn't able to post because that would've helped my record tremendously hitting on KC, Minnesota, Dallas, and Chicago while pushing Cleveland and losing only on Miami and the under Sunday night. SO back at it this week and I wish everyone a great week and let's get back at those books!

1 unit Parlay: Ravens -11.5 and under 38.5

Ravens #3 rush defense against MJD and Ed Reed vs Blaine Gabbert = low scoring game with points for Ravens coming by way of Ray Rice rushing. Flacco throws a couple INT's himself on the road to further keep scoring low and you have the makings for a 24-10 evening. Going with value and the parlay rather than just a side here. Good luck all whatever side you choose tonight!

UCONN is only 1-6 when playing the road dog of 8 or more points w/revenge. The weather is going to be cold, overcast with a chance of rain and with Ray Graham running for Pitt, I like this to be a low scoring game with Pitt winning by two touchdowns. GL all.

Well I had the right side and the wrong total. Seems like that has been the kind of week I have been having lately. I think tonight will right the ship with some easy winners:

1) Houston -28 (-130) over Rice for 2 units
2) Houston/Rice over 71 total points for 1 unit

Houston has been outscoring opponents by 5 touchdowns and Rice is no match for their offense. I would not be surprised to see Houston score 60+ on their own tonight. Common opponents this season is Marshall. Marshall beat Rice by 4 points and Houston beat Marshall last week 63-28 and over bettors cashed easily. I would have put more if I could have teased down the total but my book would not let me place that bet for some reason. GL whatever side you are on!

You got it House! My only regret was not taking Chiefs ML and I have no idea why I didn't since I had them capped to win the game. I just forgot. I placed my initial cover bet, then the teaser and then had to go do something and then never got back to it. Could just kick myself. Oh well, what a great night!!!

Early leans for Sunday:

1) Houston -10 vs Cleveland: Cleveland is wounded and McCoy has noone to throw the ball to. They have moved Cribbs to wide out in hopes that he can help the receiving corps since Massaquoi is banged up (concussion). Running backs Hardesty and Hillis are also a big question marks with injuries. For Houston, Andre Johnson is possibly returning for this weekend and if he does this line may skyrocket to 14 points. My advice is get it now while it is affordable.

2) Dallas -11 vs. Seattle: I am waiting to see if this line comes down a bit closer to game time but this year there have been about 7 or 8 teams that have lost by 13 or more points on the road the previous week only to come home the following week and cover the spread with the exception of only one (Miami). Last week's example of this was St. Louis with a straight up dog win over New Orleans. This week Dallas fits into that system and they are going to want to show their home town faithful that they can play football. Also, Seattle has some QB issues and is not nearly as elusive nor has the matchup nightmares that Philly possesses.

3) Indy +8.5 vs. Atlanta: Another team that has something to prove in front of their home town faithful after losing by 17 on the road last weekend. This is just a lean at this point as I may not make a move unless this line makes it to 10.

4) KC -5 vs. Miami: KC has been a covering machine!! This line opened at 5.5 and Caesars and Harrahs already dropped it to 5 points. Not sure what is up with that but will keep an eye on the line as the week progresses.

It's a Tale of Two Cities with these teams. Toledo is 5-3 ATS and NIU is 3-5 ATS. Trying to find common opponents between these two teams yielded virtually nothing. They have not played any common opponents and the closest thing I could find is this:

1) They have both played Big Ten opposition: Toledo vs. Ohio State - lost 22-27; NIU vs. Wisconsin - lost 7-49 and OSU beat Wisconsin.

2) Toledo beat Bowling Green but lost ATS as 10 point favs 28-21 and NIU beat W. Michigan 51-22 who also lost to Bowling Green 21-45.

This may mean NOTHING but just trying to find commonality. I have watched Toledo play and they can score and put up points. I have NOT watched NIU this year so have no clue about that team. If I were to play the game, I would take Toledo -8 and be done with it and not even mess around with a teaser. Just my opinion.

On the other side of the coin, Ohio is 5-0 after scoring 35 or more points vs a less than .500 opp (beat a 1-7 Akron team 37-20 last week). Additionally, Ohio is 6-1 on weekdays, 8-1 at home off a double digit ATS win, AND they are 5-0 after playing Akron. Take Ohio, Rosie, and the points!
